AEI and John Yoo still raising Cain

"Should Israel Attack Iran?" asks this panel at the unreconstructed American Enterprise Institute. At this point in time, with all the threats that seem to be issued on a daily basis  against Iran by either Israeli officials or its US support base, a more fair question would be, "Should Iran attack Israel?" This would, of course, be an act of insanity on Tehran’s part but why is such an action not considered insane on Israel’s part? Despite several stupid, inflammatory statements that have been made by Ahmadinejad, neither he nor any Iranian official have threatened to launch an unprovoked attack on Israel. What statements that have been issued by Iran refer only to what Iran would do should Israel launch a first strike.

The AEI panelists on the second part of today’s program, John Bolton and Michael Rubin, are both in favor of attacking Iran as is Danielle Pletka, the Australian-born moderator. When he was the unconfirmed US ambassador to the UN, Bolton was described by his Israeli counterpart, Daniel Gillerman, as "the sixth man" in Israel’s UN office.

That John Yoo, the cheerleader for US torture policy, now an AEI fellow, is moderating the first panel, which is charged with determining the legality of an Israeli attack, should tell us all that we need to know about this think tank. Predators of a feather prey together.
