Elena Kagan made who/whom mistake in 2006

And oh god, I bet she's another sleeper Zionist, too; the Times says she praised an Israeli judge as her hero at Harvard Law School.

In 2006, while dean of Harvard Law School, Ms. Kagan introduced Judge [Aharon] Barak during an award ceremony as “my judicial hero.” She added, “He is the judge or justice in my lifetime whom, I think, best represents and has best advanced the values of democracy and human rights, of the rule of law and of justice.”

Of course this Times story paints Barak as a great liberal. The only democracy, right? God save the Jewish people, and the people people too.

  1. Let’s give Kagana pass here, if we can. Unless Judgee Barak has a Dred Scott or a Plessy v. Ferguson decision to his name. Is there another shoe waiting to be dropped here?

Just another bit of misplaced ethnic chauvanism, and it seems no group is immune from being afflicted with ethnic chauvanists.

I still wonder [actually I don't] upon what basis A. Dershowitz considers the High Court of Israel to be the finest judicial body in the world. I fear ethnic chauvanism is the answer.

A sleeper zionist? I thought her role was fairly obvious?

So I take it you don’t think he’s a great liberal? Would you care to defend that position, Phil?

It so happens that Justice Barak is one of the most respected jurists in the world. The problem for Kagan is that he belongs to the system with the most activist judiciary in the world, and that will provide an opening for many Republicans. Lindsay Graham already mentioned it as a problem.

And of course, as I say elsewhere, anytime you want to present any proof for any of these assertions, please enlighten us.
