This video from Friday’s Sheikh Jarrah protest in East Jerusalem appears to show (and is said to show) writer David Grossman being assaulted by Israeli police at 2:38. He’s wearing a baseball cap.
Others in the crowd wear hijab. Others are also assaulted.
Note the beautiful moment at 1:03 or so where it looks like Matan Cohen is embracing a young Palestinian who carries an Arabic sign to protect him from the Israeli police officer.
It makes no sense to say that Palestinians rejected Judah Magnes’s idea of a binational state. Of course they did. And that was 70 and 80 years ago.
