I'm out of it, so I searched the power people at second wedding. Cohen, the groom, is a Washington Post pollster. Kornblut is a reporter for the Post who I often see on MSNBC. Here she reports for the Post on her own wedding guest Sarah Feinberg-- very incestuous, huh?-- who was an aide to Rahm Emanuel (who by the way is Jewish and took a vacation in the Occupied Golan Heights recently) and is now at Bloomberg (which is owned by Mike Bloomberg, mayor of New York, etc). Campbell Brown converted to Judaism to marry Dan Senor, the AIPAC apparatchik. Todd Harris is the Republican consultant on Chris Matthews all the time who strikes a neconnish tone re the Islamic world. Jessica Yellin is a CNN anchor; no data. Bill Burton is another Obama aide. So is Stephanie Cutter. Russ Schriefer, another political consultant on the right, son of a Long Island butcher, seems to have married up. His wife Nina Easton works at Fortune and was formerly married to Ron Brownstein, per Wikipedia. Seems that Nina is Episcopalian; but that's the point, there are plenty power goyim here too.
And I bet that with folks like Senor and Harris there, Zionism is written into the Kornblut-Cohen ketubah (formal agreement in Jewish weddings).

Their bloodlines are not important at all, although I could find a family tree somewhere that goes right back to David and Saul. (With a few incomers here and there. They had to get over the problem of JC, who, officially, had no issue).
America has never officially had a royal family, though it did have the Roosevelts, Kennedys and the Bushes, in recent memory.

I’ve forgotten the details of the relationships between the English, French, Spanish, and German royal families; they were all intermarried, for dynastic and strategic purposes. Certaily google knows how the warring parties in WWI and WWII were related by blood and marriage.

Yes, I’m very aware of the mixture of ‘royal bloodlines’ throughout Europe, and of the paradox of Kaiser Willy being the first cousin of King George V in WWI, but I think you should realise that these people have no real power, and are just figureheads, fit to have their portraits on postage stamps and banknotes, but not much else.
I don’t recollect any similar royal relationships in WWII, except for the ex-King, Edward VIII, who was packed off to Bermuda as soon as he expressed sympathy with the Nazi government of Germany.

Here is a topic. Why is it that the Netroots Nation does not have any panels focused on the Israeli Palestinian conflict? Have noticed this the two times I have gone and the schedule for this year. Netroots Nation, being spawned of Daily Kos, has Zionist ties and is strongly disinclined to take any heat at all from this direction.
Panels on the topic were proposed, yet as always there are none.
I have not visited dailykos in a long time but it used to be that I-P threads were very, very active threads. If the “Netroots” are going to go with the flow on Israel-Palestine, the Netroots will peter out as a force. Same with MSNBC shows slinking away from the Israeli attack on the Gaza flotilla. Why should I care about them bleating that Republicans are hardhearted not to extend unemployment benefits if they are OK with what we’re financing Israel to do? Ignoring I-P bespeaks corporatization of the Netroots, IMO. Same thing with the way Tea Party has been characterized by the media as obsessed with deficits when I would bet money that they are in large part Republicans who are disgusted with their own party’s foreign wars and military spending as this blog notes:

The other day I saw Michelle Bachman say that the Tea Party should “speak for themselves” and that gave me a whole new outlook on her. I normally see her portrayed as a lunatic and she may have said some odd stuff but I can remember lots of odd stuff I’ve heard politicians say on TV; she’s in no way an outlier for saying crazy things. Hillary Clinton’s landing under fire in Tuzla was much, much crazier than anything Michelle Bachman ever said.

We have to remember what Annie said, which is that Daily Kos believes political change comes from electing progressive Democrats, which always means (except for Dennis Kucinich) these figures are PEEPs (Progressive on Everything Except Palestine). Netroots Nation does have a lot of good stuff going on, but like most progressive forums in this country, Israel-Palestine stuff isn’t included. I’m actually curious, though: did Mondoweiss (i.e. Phil and Adam) try to get a seat at the table at Netroots Nation? If not, next year you guys should try to go! It does look like a cool forum and, as we know, Internet political activism (i.e. exposing fraudulent lies) is very important in this day and age.

annie, I think the netroots part to watch are outfits like OpenLeft, where I have seen recently an openning up to I/P on the part of certain front pagers like Paul Rosenberg. Admittedly, they are not a large as DailyKos but their crowd of commentator can be quite excellent, and they do have much say with progressive discourse.
Unfortunately, DK tends to degenrate to food fight on lot of issues, especially when it comes to criticizing Obama. Thoe threads can be a bad, if not worse than I/P threads.
But yes, there’s a group of trolls there now who masquerade as “liberal” or “progressives” who tend to drown out even the liberal zionists of the J street ilk. I assume it’ not accidental that the threads were invaded by this non-indigenous species, including by some whose obvious job is to plant “false flag” crude anti-semitic remarks, which then serve to deflect the discussion and smear the diarist by association – even once they are “hidden”.

Not sure whether this has been posted here before, but Eric Walberg has collected some interesting info (mainly from the Des Moines Register) about Chelsea’s new father-in-law, who was a pioneer in “Nigerian” e-mail scams and was characterized by the federal prosecutor as a “one-man crime wave.” From Walberg:
Chelsea Clinton’s new father-in-law, Ed Mezvinsky, was a Congressman from Iowa 1973-76. After his 1976 defeat, he and 2nd wife relocated to suburban Philadelphia. Together, they raised eleven children, several of whom were adopted.In the early 1980s he opened a number of businesses, including grain export, medical instrument companies and a series of get-rich quick schemes with African businessmen, including but not limited to Nigerian email scams.
None of the businesses worked well, and between 1995 and 2000, Mezvinsky executed 165 transactions under $!0,000—evidence of classic restructuring behavior to avoid reporting large amounts of income. He charmed investors, including close friends and friends of friends; and became close to, among others, Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Eventually, his fraudulent business deals caught up with him and in 2001 he was charged with 66 counts of fraud, totally at least $10.4 million. Among the frauds he was accused of was a classic Ponzi scheme, in which he spent his wife’s inheritance, used checks from her congressional account and cheated his mother-in-law out of $300,000. He pleaded insanity, claiming his bipolar disorder didn’t allow him to see the downside of his risky investments.
Mezvinsky was convicted in 2003 and sentenced to nearly 7 years. He was released in 2008.

The problem, said he, was the exclusivist nature of the state of Israel & the negative attitude of both the Israelis and Palestinians. Examining this is all well and fine, but it is put there for your consumption to make you think this is the real root of the problem – “those corrupt politicians.” This is not a judgment on those who concentrate of this, because you are just doing what comes natural in this environment which is meant to deflect you from the real issues.
Politicians are like actors, they should have their own guild. The spotlight is shone on them so that you will pay attention to everything they do, however everything they do flows from the real power center(s). Believe me when I tell you it have always been this way, since the beginning – the actors change (politicians) but they are in the same movie.
I mean, what made you think these people ever served you? Oh, I see, it is the “words,” the written words on those documents – the “people.” If you have learned nothing over the years it is not what is written that is ever the truth (except for you, like the laws are written for your suppression, etc.). What you were taught in school was complete bullshit, the entire scenario of the executive, representative, and judicial branches do not serve you, they serve a moneyed elite – it is their franchise (essentially, you do not even seem to know what the real “state” is). The hired help (politicians) competes with one another to see who can best represent elite interest, while they tell you it is all for your benefit. Well who is benefiting?
They have created a whole class (which is now rapidly deteriorating) as fat around their midsection, it is no different than what Antonio Gramsci described years ago (with a little more sophisticated complication and cover up – “don’t rock the boat, I am doing well and making money”) –

Yet we all sit here obediently ogling these idiots put there to capture out attention and divert us from real issues, it is almost like the form of popular entertainment watching movies (and does the people about as much good). In the “government” (national, regional, local) the politicians either enter the field without a knowledge of the real game and learn real fast (for the most part), or they enter with moneyed interest, either way they do not end up serving you (or if they do serve the people they end up being part of a small crew which ineffectively dissents, and that is because the majority do not care about the people one iota). Look at the real evidence, they enrich themselves by divesting the people and that is their aim –

Never confuse the hired help with the owners Citizen, even if there are contrived filial links. The elite take care of their own, and there are few by far who have given so much away than the Clinton’s, that have gladly robbed the people for the few. However, I can understand your confusion.
AS an example, how many here know that a firm like Goldman Sachs only sported 12% to the public in their offering? That speaks volumes, however many will talk about other “collective” associations which own more than the public – do you know who owns the lions share in the association ownership? These facts are multi-layered for a purpose, and the reason so little is known about them protects the vultures who sit atop the global debacle (and it does not harm them) – but the people have no protection at all, they are literally fed upon at will.
I thought you were going to tell us who the real elite are. Don’t tease us like this. If you know who they are, tell us. I’ll have you know, and I’m not ashamed to say it, that when you tell us who these real masters are, I am fully prepared to cut them if we pass in the street. In fact, I will even sneer, or possibly hiss.
Is this a trick question Mooser? Of course, it is a confluence of interests. A good rule of thumb is to follow the money, it is a systemic issue. However, when you really get down to it these are not the most powerful – it is actually the people. What the people allow occurs, what they stop will be halted. It is just the matter of people not making a joke out of a serious problem that results in the deaths of millions of people, or them being duped into believing that “this is the way things are supposed to be.”
Than you must come to a conclusion of what must be done, in order to halt the systemic process – I say tear down the entire structure and put the people in charge, no more “legal” monopolies or corporations in their current form, no more unaccountable “representation,” but direct participation. Do you know what that is called Mooser?
On the other hand, keep in mind this does not negate the real peril the people find themselves in – because if you arm a madman and tell him to watch over you this is what will occur. No, power does not willingly abdicate, but the people have to realize that when they decide this is the course, there is absolutely nothing this elite can do to stop them –

“I’m good enough to borrow a plane from, but not good enough to be invited to the wedding?” complained one Clinton friend, who remembered the times he handed over his jet and his pilot to take Bill Clinton around the country but had not landed a coveted invitation to Chelsea Clinton’s nuptials. . . .
“I’m sure there are some people who are lobbying discreetly,” said someone who has known the Clintons for decades. “If they’re on the list, they will ballyhoo it quietly, and if they’re not on the list, their noses will be out of joint. I know some people whose noses are out of joint.” (Like most F.O.B.’s — Friends of Bill — the person did not want to be quoted by name, swearing by the wedding’s code of silence.) . . .
“It’s not a political rally, it’s not a state affair,” said one longtime Clinton supporter who was not invited but was still nervous about upsetting the former president.
Which just about puts the whole perfomance into the context it should be. Parochial, and all forgotten when it’s over.

I do not mean to make light of your objection Mooser, however, if there was ever a group that deserves the title of goyim, it is this one.
