JPost is running a poll to measure the #1 biggest Jewish world news event of 2010, and guess what's in the lead? Right there at the top is the Young Jewish Proud action to disrupt Netanyahu with messages about what really delegitimizes Israel at the Jewish Federation's national conference in New Orleans in November.
One of the other nominees is "de-legitimatization of Israel goes mainstream". Nothing about Israel's actual actions of occupation and inequality... And of course, no mention at all of Israel's piratic massacre of civilians on the high seas, which I would certainly have chosen as #1 given the opportunity...

I would have voted Chelsea Clinton Marries a Jew, because I honestly give a **** about her, her corrupt parents and all the nonsense and the gossip surrounding the case of royalty marrying — according to Jon Stewart’s response to Rick Sanchez — a member of the persecuted commoners and a minority.
I did vote for Chelsea’s intermarriage. I care. You know a Bush niece recently married a Jew too? Son of a big name in the fashion/cosmetics industry. Power marries power, just like in the Middle Ages.
If you give a **** about her, why would you have voted that #1? I think you do care Avi, or else you wouldn’t have brought it up.
If the Bush niece or Chelsea wouldn’t have married a Jew, but would have a married a rich gentile, none of you would bat an eye. Kind of reminds me of the controversy over inter-racial marriage in the mid 2oth century.
“…which I would certainly have chosen as #1 given the opportunity…”
That is the essence of a prejudiced poll, censorship by omission. Nothing terribly damaging is ever proposed for the vote, however I agreed with the interruption of NuttyYahoo as an excellent activity – he should be interrupted every time he attempts to speak in public.
Check this. IDK if it’s a sense of exceptionalism or a just plain stupidity.
Do you think the Mossad carried out the Mabhouh hit in Dubai?
Total votes: 7757
1. No, they would never get caught on camera as the assassins did 37.00%
2. Yes, who else would do it? 33.85%
3. We’ll never know 29.15%
although 75% of those answering the poll said they like jerusalem mayor’s silwan plan check out this surprising q&a
huh!
Seems that practicality trumps ideology.
so what’s holding up the show?
One more concrete example of how the press controls what gets out there, The massacre of the human rights activist should be at the top of that list. But oh yeah the Jerusalem post chose not to put it on the list. So it goes and goes with Israel’s press, the U.S. press. Telling. The young Jewish and proud get the top spot
Hip hip!
Thank you jewish activits for (REAL!) peace.
Because of you, change is possible. Without your self-honesty and principled humanitarianism, without your public voices, no justice is possible.
You’re admired the world over and history will assign you tremendous kudos and heroics.
Je vous embrasse tous.
May you go forth and multiply tenfold in 2011.
