And something is also strange about this. Why would Palin use this tern, blood libel, after being silent for 4 days after the shooting in Arizona? Someone must have conferred with her about what to say to the public, after this shooting. Is she still advised by Goldfarb, Scheunemann?

i only heard of it about 2 years ago from hanging out on daily kos. particularly after that swedish ‘blood libel’ organ transplant article (which turned out to be partly confirmed) . the most amusing part was the fact their chief pathologist was busted previously for selling body parts (only medical research of course!) which was all over the news at the time. in that case it was very clear the screaming of blood libel was used to silence the discourse. that doesn’t mean the term wasn’t around the ‘english parlance’ before but i hadn’t encounter it. i do recall reading about it on wikipedia but it was definitely NOT the story that is up there today. it seems to have gotten much much worse.

Now Kampeas is saying they tracked down Loughner’s mother’s background and have determined she’s not Jewish because there was a funeral mass for Loughner’s great aunt in 1999, and because after a meeting of the Tuscon tribe of Rabbis, Giffords synagogue said they’d never heard of Amy Loughner (then why did all calls to the synagogue until today say they were not allowed to talk about it, when there are only 140 members…they didn’t know then, they couldn’t say no then?)

As an aside, while you are all celebrating what the ADL wrote, you might ask yourself a simple critical question – where did this come from? It is a terrible thing to be the classic “downer,” however I maintain that the ADL does not want to alienate its red hot right. You know, those fundies and right wing munchers who have been the backbone of support for the Zionist atrocities against the Palestinians and others in the region. Apparently they like the company their in bed with, so they want to lift any remarks about those who might even seem similar (the assassin), for a change they become reasonable. No one wants a spotlight shone on their supporters. Try to think about it for a while or should I say try to think critically about it for awhile.
The second thing this does for the ADL, after all of their outrageous support for Israeli atrocities and so on, is that it makes them look good – as if they are a cut apart, and upstanding individuals. Sort of a verbal face lift for this group. So that, if individuals just happened to have crawled out of the ignorance cave in regard to the ADL, it might cause the unwary to want to support them or think they are some “balanced” group.
