Asked about political fundraiser, Trump injects the Jewish angle

Donald Trump was on CNBC the other night to talk about the markets, when one of the hosts asked him if he was going to last night’s dinner/fundraiser for Obama, at $35,800 a plate, sponsored by Harvey Weinstein and Anna Wintour. Trump injected the Jewish angle:

I wasn’t exactly thinking, It wasn’t on my schedule. You know it does amaze me. Because I have friends that are being hit on him by him every time, I have friends that happen to be Jewish and happen to love Israel that are holding fundraisers for Obama, and I say why are you doing it and they say, Donald, we don’t even know.

I mean, it’s like so ridiculous, they’re backing him, they’re raising money for him, they have no idea why, in some cases they’re very rich people, and he’s trying to do numbers on them. And in some cases they’re very very pro-Israel, they back Israel with their life, and Obama has been very very negative toward Israel. So it just amazes me that people have fundraisers for Obama and in many cases he’s not their friend

From the hosts, Crickets. Then one says, “Well. Donald, next time will you come out and visit us on set?”
