Voice in wilderness, Ron Paul calls for friendship with Iran

On television today Ron Paul said that friendship with Iran is the answer.

The Texas congressman says fears about Iran’s nuclear program have been “blown out of proportion.” He says tough penalties are a mistake because, as he says was the case in Iraq, they only hurt the local population and still paved a path to war.

When asked on “Fox News Sunday” what he would do to deter Iran’s alleged nuclear ambitions, Paul said “maybe offering friendship to them.”

I see whose campaign the Lobby is going to fund massively–NOT!

strange concept for the us congress, i am sure… even that nobel peace prize dude will be scratching his head, and it won’t be due any flees from the doodle dog either..

just think of all the money the mic and wall st. will miss with a policy like this! they might have to think up something else to do like go back to playing monopoly or some other such board game…

kudos to ron paul for suggesting this.. it is a refreshing news flash!

:)) Bravo for Ron Paul. One of the few leftover ,decent politicians.
Unfortunately , “offering friendship to Iran” will not bring all those lunatic warmongers big bucks as planned, and a big power as planned.
They, like leeches ,need fresh blood to suck and grow on it.
Friendship is a word that does not exists in their vocabulary.
You are their “friend” as long as you do, what you are told, or you are more powerful than them.

Good call, Iranian people are very welcoming and friendly (unlike a lot of Israelis I can think of). Shock, horror, there is nothing to fear. Iran was actually sympathetic to the US after 9/11 and offered to assist the US over Afghanistan.

Ron Paul is the only candidate with extensive historical knowledge of the ME, and the only one with a sane foreign policy, but he’s dismissed in bipartisan fashion–except by 2/3rd of the post-9/11 Military grunts who feel our wars in ME were a mistake and actually breed more terrorism. They should know.

Meanwhile, our Zionist fiefdom, the House Foreign Affairs Committee is pushing a ban on all diplomatic efforts with Iran, back door or front door. They want to deprive our commander in chief of his executive power to work against bombing Iran back into the stone age.
