A stark appeal to the United Methodist Church to “take a moral action to support justice and peace in Israel and Palestine” –in the spirit of the Montgomery bus boycott led by Joseph Lowery. Jerusalem is occupied, Methodists. Is that Natalie Merchant’s voice? Oh my. Look at the beautiful Palestinian children in the second part of the video. I can’t suggest strongly enough to the creator of this video/montage that it be edited any number of times to be specifically directed to every faith group that participated in the civil rights movement (there are many), whether they are currently voting on or considering BDS or not.
Sending one to each would help educate members on the issue and would definitely give them pause to think.
