Glorious Methodists helped lead Montgomery bus boycott of 1955

Beautiful. A stark appeal to the United Methodist Church to “take a moral action to support justice and peace in Israel and Palestine” –in the spirit of the Montgomery bus boycott led by Joseph Lowery. Jerusalem is occupied, Methodists.  Is that Natalie Merchant’s voice? Oh my. Look at the beautiful Palestinian children in the second part of the video. They are growing up without any power of consent to the government that controls their lives. Thanks to Andy Whitmore.

“Glorious Methodists”? To quote Annie, gag
me a spoon.

Brilliant film!
Couldn’t have been paired with a better music.

Brilliant film indeed! I hope the Presbyterians too use the film.

thanks Bill in Maryland. love the clips, but if you ever make more/edit, i was hoping to see the recent rifle butt to the bicyclist’s face.

and an older clip that always shocks is *rabin’s* break the bones policy

but thanks, this is no criticism, love it (how did you make it BTW?)

Powerful.

I can’t suggest strongly enough to the creator of this video/montage that it be edited any number of times to be specifically directed to every faith group that participated in the civil rights movement (there are many), whether they are currently voting on or considering BDS or not.

Sending one to each would help educate members on the issue and would definitely give them pause to think.
