Pam Geller’s repulsive “Savage” ads that have appeared on San Francisco buses are coming east. Matt Flegenheimer reports in the New York Times:
New Yorkers will soon encounter another potentially inflammatory rendering of Islam: an advertisement in the transit system that reads, “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man.”
It concludes with the words, “Support Israel. Defeat Jihad,” wedged between two Stars of David. After rejecting the ads initially, then losing a federal court ruling on First Amendment grounds, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said on Tuesday that the ads were expected to appear next week at 10 subway stations…
Muneer Awad of CAIR says it’s legal to be a bigot; but there will be an assertive response by Muslims to dispel these vicious characterizations. From CAIR: “Muneer Awad, the executive director of [CAIR-NY], said the ads were an attempt to ‘define Muslims’ through hate speech.”
The “Chosen” expressed themselves at their best. Interesting ad, and still I don’t have any clue on who the civilized man should be. I don’t see any, under that blue mark.

Notice the two black squares on either side? Guess who was on either side? As I remember it, one of them was someone from “Godwin’s Law”. This I found rather ironic, because the individual depicted saw himself as civilization fighting against the savages- exactly the mentality that the Ad is portraying.
I notice the ads do not mention Muslim per se, but can you imagine the furore were the ads calling Zionists “savage”? Would that be allowed? This is just provocation which is all the zionists know. Not giving Palestinians basic human rights is “savage”.

They have a generation and a half or so that they have “educated” and who have grown up under the Zionist educational system, and prayed in Zionist-Jewish Synagogues. Good message on your web site. It’s true the neocons and Zionists love nothing more than broadcasting videos of bearded brown men burning American and Israeli flags, especially together, and hopping around wildly, chanting, shooting guns in the air if possible.
They were very disappointed when they did not see that during the early phase of the Arab Spring. The recent embassy attacks across the region have been much more useful.
Andreas, you should check, or better still, change the translation of your short CV for your English speaking readers. I may often use what feels must be the English equivalent.;) Unfortunately it does not always work.

As a native English speaker/writer, I understand Andreas’s English, but his is awkward enough that I think it would interfere with the content he wishes to convey. LeaNder can write better in English. So, maybe, LeaNder, where you agree with Andreas, maybe you could edit his English translations? I think you both contribute a lot to discussion of important issues across the English-German language divide. I want to see both of you “keep on truckin’.”

Jimmy Israel muddies the water with a new version of events contradicting previous interviews he has given, but one salient feature remaining consistent is that there was a fourth man , not Sam basil -Nakoula (two people in the original Jimmy version), Alan Roberts, nor Jimmy Israel called by Jimmy Israel. Speculation is that this original film producer -script consultant was Steve Goldberg the name listed as the producer by Cindy Lee davis on her resume, or Steve Goldenberg the producer listed on Jeffery J Robinson’s, asst dir of the film, resume as a reference.

Leaking of the Ali Sina-Geller-spencer script by some patriotic american will provide further information on the links between the two identical film projects. Release of information on funding sources for the Nakoula-Jimmy Israel expenditures may identify the angel investors donors in Israel or elsewhere, but donor demographics most certainly correlate with Geller Spencer Steve Goldberg (Zionist org of america lawyer for geller , gert wilder) funding sources.
If ZOA Steve Goldberg, already linked to Geller and Wilders, is complicit in this film production, he may face disbarrment and criminal penalities in defrauding cast not familiar with the script.
All the sites where “a-movie-about-muhammad-an-idea-whose-time-has-come.html” were hosted seem to be being taken down. Pamela Geller’s site which hosted the solicitation for funds for an anti-islam movie is currently down. Evidence of guilt, perhaps?
It’s interesting how “Jimmy Israel” seems to have taken control of this story’s arc. He’s made himself available to every single reporter covering it, when all the other key players have shied away. (I’m assuming that “Hollywood veteran” in the Time piece is Israel.)

Years ago, when we had small children and we lived in the highland park section of los angeles, I was really tired of looking at scantily clad women on billboards near my house every day. So I bought a super soaker and some nice japanese calligraphy ink, and took my children one sunday morning and gave the nice lady some clothes, because she was cold. I do think this falls within my constitutional right to free speech and the upholding of community standards. I think this falls within the same framework. a super soaker might be too dangerous in hyper-militarized NYC at the moment though. but a water-pistol?

There’s lots of fast graffetti art kids running around NYC at night–a few cans of spray paint in nimble hands sometimes edit ads, I’ve noticed.
I would advise a super soaker. Jittery police troopers sometimes think that a small unidentified object is weapon. The size and bright coloring of a super soaker can only help.

Pro-Israel ‘Hate Group’ Wins Right To Post Controversial Subway Ads
The news item is “impartial”, hate group is in quotes as a mere quote from Southern Poverty Law Center. Pamela Geller is quoted at length. Council on American Islamic Relations of New York is quoted too. MTA got 6000 dollars, but it seems that they spent more on lawyers to avoid running the ad. Actually, why they are forced to run the ads if they may be offensive to a large group of customers?

Here you got a people who once lived in nice little villages and ran nice little shops but mostly were peacefully engaged in tending little plots of land and goats and olive groves since time immemorial. I guess those lawyers on all sides involved are trying by trial and error see what is illegal (as judicial exception to general rule favoring totally free speech) “hate speech” in America and what is merely 1st Amendment protected “bigot speech.” (My invention). (Crying-fire-in-a-crowded-theatre exceptions to general rule of free speech is related but not directly on point here).
