Right-wing Israeli hiphop artist SHI 360 has a new song out about Jonathan Pollard called “Yonathan (He Should Be Released).” Some of the lyrics:
he never brought harm to the red, white, and blue
only his concern for the white and the blue
never compromised intel – they all knew
never charged with treason – and this is all true…Yonathan was indicted for only one thing
passing information to the allies’ hands
saved lives, never jeopardised the home range
but in came Casper – and then it all changed
He should be released, enough is enough, It’s the just thing to do
“he never brought harm to the red, white, and blue”
And exactly how do we know this? If the israelis are so sure that this traitor did not harm the USA, as the Court found, then they would open the entirety of their military and intelligence archives and records — entirely and without reservation — make available any israeli to answer any and all questions — in full, truthfully and without any reservation — and permit unlimited inspections of any and all places it wishes — at any time, without any restrictions or conditions whatsoever — to a team of independant investigators, to do a thorough search for all of this material, trace what the zios did with it and then come to some conclusions about whether the USA was harmed. Absent a willingness to to do all that, the israelis can go take a long walk off a short pier. Pollard is lucky he got off as lightly as he did. We were too easy on him.
Good. I hope they release Pollard under pressure.
That should trigger the long-awaited revolt.

There are plenty of jingoistic (God & Country types) zealots in the US intelligence and security apparatus (picture Tommy Lee Jones’ character in US Marshals) who would feel profoundly humiliated if this Rat goes free.
But then again, I once heard Phil Geraldi (or was it Paul Pillar?) on the Scott Horton talk-show complain, that over 200 FBI investigations into nefarious Israeli activities in the United States have been squashed by act of Congress.
If a revolt happens, as CloakAndDager wishes, it probably won’t come from career obsessed bureaucrats of any stripe. It would be a bottom-up revolt by the global hoi poloi.
Pollard should be released — and then everything he did should be disclosed, and everyone should have their snout firmly rubbed in that, and in just why he was released, and in what it is that we support.
