but I have to say that the folks on the message board who made such
remarks as "would that we could send you (me) back to Germany"
hit me as the most hateful I can remember encountering in a very long
time, certainly far surpassing those of any confirmed anti-Semites, and
yes I have met a few in my time.
Do these people not get that Hitler only emerged because America entered the war, allowed the allies to have a decisive victory,
and enabled through the wicked construction of Wilsonian democracy the
starvation blockade that reduced Germany and its people to
desperation? One shudders at the implications when one see the Israelis
making a similar attempt on Gaza.
I just found the following from the recent film about the Christmas Truce on Youtube, and I urge everyone to see it and reflect. Incidentally, the German officer depicted is a Jew.
