- Israeli forces launched a simultaneous raid on Nablus and Jenin on March 7, allegedly in connection to the Huwwara operation from the previous week that killed two Israeli settlers. The wide-ranging twin invasions left 6 Palestinians dead and dozens wounded.
- Israeli forces kill 15-year-old boy in Qalqilya.
- Israeli Finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich calls for “wiping out” the town of Huwwara in Nablus, after Israeli settlers set the town ablaze in a pogrom.
- Israeli practice of demolishing and displacing Palestinians has resulted in the displacement of more than 46 Palestinians this week, mostly in East Jerusalem and Hebron areas.
- The Israeli parliament passed a preliminary reading of a new bill which allows for the implementation of the death penalty for Palestinian political detainees convicted of “terrorism.”
- Following the Aqaba Joint Communique between Palestinian, Jordanian, Egyptian, Israeli and American officials, Israeli policy-makers split over the need to halt settlements.
