The U.S. Ambassador to Israel says West Bank Palestinians can’t have equal rights because it would end the Jewish state, and his “biggest fear” is that Israel has “lost the narrative” on U.S. campuses.

Jerusalem has emerged as a second front in Israel’s counterinsurgency strategy, prompting Itamar Ben-Gvir to ramp up the Israeli state’s never-ending war on the city and its people.

Events in Jerusalem over the past few days show that Ben Gvir’s declared war on East Jerusalem has already begun, as Israeli authorities crack down on Palestinians across the city.

This order is one in a recent string of escalating attacks on Palestinians by the newly formed ultra-rightwing Israeli government.

“It’s erasure and a form of criminalizing every act of Palestinian resistance and identity,” Linda Tabar, a Palestinian professor of international relations at the University of Sussex told Mondoweiss. “It’s a form of trying to negate Palestinian life,” Tabar said, “they’re suffocating us.”
