DSA is overhauling its endorsement process over Bowman saga, but they won’t expel him from the organization.

Rashida Tlaib had sound reasons to call Israel an apartheid state, including Human Rights Watch’s report saying as much. But politicians and journalists don’t defend her because pro-Israel journalists like Bret Stephens have viciously attributed all criticism of Israel to its status as a Jewish state, and said the critics are motivated by antisemitism.

After the Squad openly criticized Israel in the House during the Gaza onslaught last May, Nina Turner came under pressure to disavow her friendships with those reps. “I was told by a prominent Jewish businessman, we’re coming at you with everything you got, you need to disavow the Squad. If I didn’t do it they were coming for me.” Turner lost in August after an onslaught of negative ads paid for by pro-Israel groups.

Progressive leader Nina Turner was defeated in the closely-watched Ohio primary for Congress tonight by establishment candidate Shontel Brown, according to reports in the media. The victory is a big win for the pro-Israel lobby inside the Democratic Party– and a blow to the insurgent left wing in the party.

A new ad for Shontel Brown in Ohio from Democratic Majority for Israel leaves out the organization’s full name and any mention of Israel. That’s because Democratic voters aren’t very supportive of Israel. Though establishment Democrats, including many Israel advocates, have flocked to Brown to try and prevent the growth of the Squad in Congress with the likely addition of Nina Turner.

Israel has begun demolitions in the al-Bustan area of Silwan. Most Democratic congress members have largely ignored the destruction, but a small group of progressive House members are speaking out.

As expected, every member of The Squad was easily reelected. And this time they will be joined by even more left-leaning lawmakers.

Rep. Ilhan Omar defeated challenger Antone Melton-Meaux in her primary and is expected to sail to an easy victory this November. Melton-Meaux raked in millions of dollars attempting to oust Omar, with many campaign contributions coming from pro-Israel groups.
