‘Al-Jazeera’ Uses Blockade Running Boats to Describe Gaza’s Shocking Conditions

Here's a great youtube of an Al-Jazeera report on Gaza, which the anchor describes as an "open-air prison," pegged to the international-volunteer boats that just got into Gaza with humanitarian supplies. You
can see the sewage the Palestinian kids have to walk thru, you can see
one of the volunteers, Huwaida Arraf, hear her American accent. She's
pretty too. You can see an Israeli aide Ranaan Gissin talking about the Palestinian
"reign of terror" that justifies Israel's measures.

Then there's an argument between Arraf  and Gissin.
"Why don't you sit down and talk with your enemy?" Arraf says. Gissin
gets too redfaced for my taste, also you can see the beautiful
background of Tel Aviv behind him. You can see how both sides are
brutalized by this neverending conflict and the denial of Palestinian human
rights. "If they want war they're going to get war," Gissin says, warning that Palestinian terms may be too much for Israelis to accept. My country should not be on one side of this struggle. Where is American leadership? Where is American journalism?

Arraf says she's going to leave the same way she came, by boat. As for Hedy Epstein, my beautiful soul mother from St. Louis, who was supposed to go,

Andy Whitmore reports to me: "Apparently Hedy
fainted in Cyprus–probably very hot there–and it was decided she
shouldn't be on the boat. I know she must have been horribly
disappointed. She's been looking forward to it and last time here got
our [Kansas City] group to contribute." Arraf says there were two Israeli Jews on the boats…
