I was curious what McCain meant when he said in his speech last week that he "broke" during his imprisonment. Been a while since I read his book. Here is an interesting report from last year by a veteran on John McCain's torture and its repercussions: his alleged Post Traumatic Stress disorder, an alleged suicide attempt, and his explosive temperament. "Over the years, countless numbers of columnist/pundits have nearly drowned in their own drool
suggesting McCain's POW experience greatly qualifies him to be president."
I felt that John Kerry's experience on the Mekong River was absolutely distinguishing, but then Vietnam veterans used that against him. McCain talked endlessly about his Vietnam experience at the convention. Wonder if he's gonna regret that…. Count on Obama to maintain complete deniability.
