This JPost article says that Shaul Mofaz's American pollster/adviser is the secretive rightwing Arthur Finkelstein. Yesterday I said it's Stan Greenberg, based on Uri Avnery's piece. Here the JPost says that Greenberg is working for Barak, who yes was working against Livni. It may be that my point holds (leftleaning here, rightleaning in Israel), but it looks like I'm wrong re Greenberg. Apologies to all.

The problem with your math is that the Palestinians are likely to function more discimminatorily than Israel, as far as treatment of minorities, civil liberties, equal due process under the law.
For example, in Israel there is no law against selling land to an Arab or Palestinian. There definitely are social obstacles.
In the West Bank it is illegal for a Palestinian to sell land to a non-Palestinian Jew. (There aren't any.)
When the now occupied territories were Jordan, Egypt, Syria, the Israeli law was FAR more progressive and democratic.
Maybe those societies have changed radically, to comprise a truly progressive democratic, non-religious based, law.
Do you think so?
Does that mean that Pro-Israel is left-leaning, and pro-Palestinian is right-leaning.
It guess it depends how you slice.
Both need reform. Neither need demonization.
