Dennis Prager, the conservative radio show host, is saying that the Republican Party has never been so hospitable to Jews, that Jewish and liberal are no longer synonymous. Then there's Joe Lieberman turncoating for the Republicans. A true data point, but I don't buy it. As my friend Steve F reminded me today, Jews are Democrats. They're going to vote in greater numbers than Hispanics for Obama. I guess McCain's hoping for 40 percent. Though yes, Jews are moving rightward, it's not so simple…

Prager's right. Neoconservativism is now at the cutting edge of Jewish politics. Most Jews still haven't gotten the word though. Here is a great essay on Jewish movements:
Neoconservatism as a Jewish Movement by Kevin MacDonald
Jews and liberals were never synonymous in foreign or Middle East policy. Colonial chauvinism is not liberalism, and colonial chauvinism has long been the pervasive foreign policy view of American jews.
Neoconservatism has been so thoroughly discredited that I do not think it is on the cutting edge of anything right now.
The main danger is that the movement is far from dead yet, and in its death-throes may try to drag Israel and the US into a war with Iran.
Such an event would be so disastrous that it would likely turn the US public against Israel. If that happens, Israel is finished. She has no other friends.
Neo-conservatism is not and has never been about Israel.
It just happened to attract a powerful and influential group of Jewish intellectuals, who then injected Israeli interests into the mix.
They did it very successfully, virtually hijacking the key aspects of foreign policy. But Neo-conservatism is really much more than foreign policy.
It is about stripping back civil liberties to take capitalism back as far into its beginnings as was possible, and to make governing masses that much easier. In that, they succeeded beyond anyones wildest dreams.
I can see Putin reading Washington Post and New York Times and laughing his head off.
It's a little rich to be lectured to by a Pole like Eva. Like Shamir said they take in anti-semitism with their mothers milk. For every Jan Karski there were a 1000 Jedwebne's, eh Eva.

This view mentions only one nefarious method of exercising power the neoconservative way. Leo Strauss advocated (1) the use of lies and lying propaganda to create divisions among the masses and, through such divisions, make it impossible for any countervailing groups to be organized effectively in opposition to the rulers; (2) the use of infiltrators into labor unions and other opposition groups to find out which budding leaders would be most effectively co-opted through deals into betraying the ambitions of the groups; (3) the logical extensions of 1 and 2 above, such as controlling the media and political parties, smearing budding opposition leaders or otherwise putting them down and limiting their influence. Strauss begat the Kristols and Kagans (and Messrs. Dershowitz and Ross), and the rest is neoconservative history — which might be viewed in today's world as the story of Is-lobs maintaining their rule.

Who views Prager as a conservative? Question Prager about Israel, and all you'll get in return is hysterical howls of anti-Semitism. The guy is a joke.
Judaism and liberalism are not, never were, and never will be the same thing, just as Judaism and conservatism aren't.
Your problem is that for you, liberalism has replaced Judaism.
I used to call in to pragers show here in boston. the last time I talked to him he was despairing about the Iran NIE so i asked "isn't it GOOD that Iran doesn't have nuclear weapons?" it threw him off for the rest of the week, though eventually he returned to trashing the cia. I was happy when his and mike gallaghers show was replaced by salsa music. ecstatic actually.
