McCain Supporter Sought to ‘Exterminate Jew Power’

Why does the Times bury the best stuff? Here are the last two paragraphs of a report on a Fox News hour special on Obama, hosted by Sean Hannity, that gave a platform to a nutsack named Andy Martin, a conservative writer and political candidate:

Mr. Martin came under strong attack from liberals on Monday. Many noted that the Republican Party
of Florida decided against backing his bid for the State Senate in 1996
after receiving documents from his Congressional race 10 years earlier
in Connecticut listing the purpose of one of his political committees
as “to exterminate Jew power in America and to impeach the judges of
the U.S. Court of Appeals in New York City.”

Mr. Martin had
previously said the documents were forged, and again denied their
authenticity on Monday. He also denied harboring anti-Semitic
sentiment, saying “it’s peripheral, it draws you away from the issue.”

This reminds me of going to the 26th Street flea market years ago with the architect Ted Porter and passing a stand with World War II memorabilia, including a large brass plate with a red swastika painted on it. "How charming," he said as we walked on.
