Memo to the Media: Christian Right Is Over, Story Is the Jewish Right

Now the Washington Post is on the Khalidi story. And Drudge is all over it, too. I bet it'll be on television tonight. And maybe just maybe, Palestinian human rights.

Speaking of the press, how is that the United States launched an attack within Syria, an act of war, for which our constitution reserves sole authority to the Congress, and the only press reports are what anonymous sources feed the press, with no inquiry into who made this decision, for what purpose, and no apparent interest within Congress. I recall as a young man the Nixon Administration's initiation of bombing in Cambodia, and the reaction that triggered. Where is our Congress and our free press?

Doppler, it surfaced in Mr. Faster Please's notes from Africa:

Now if only I remember to shake the scorpions out of my sneakers whenever I get out of bed…I’ll be able to savor the news that we have finally moved against the terrorist camps in Syria, for which I have been calliong since 1983.

The Christian Right is 100 times bigger than the Jewish Right. Jews are still going to vote for the most "liberal senator in the US Senate" no matter what some Jewish Republican group says.

Especially if they see the picture published, which looks a lot like their middle aged Jewish liberal children.

Your "hope" of reducing the Jewish vote for Obama is a bit sickening Phil.

The Jewish Right is correct. Much better description than the 'religious left' one you were trying out.

On Lebanon in 2006.

The reason that Israel over-reacted to Hezbollah, was that Hezbollah applied a logic of "we have Israel on the run" in choosing its timing of the abduction (preceeded by renewed shelling of a border civilian town) to the "opportunity" of the IDF distracted with attempted resumption of suicide bombing from the West Bank, shelling of Sderot, and abductions on both the West Bank and Gaza.

It intentionally invoked the sentiment of "we are surrounding them", a fearful emotional assault, intending to evoke fear and succeeding.

Same as McCain.

The way to stop the horror is actual peace. And, actual peace rejects "we got them on the run" from anyone.

One person's diversionary tactic is another's opportunity to stage a gigantic, preplanned, and widly irresponsible attack on innocents.
