Feline Has Departed the Gunnysack

A couple days ago a friend of mine said "The cat is out of the bag" re Israel/Palestine. (Thus the clever headline). He referred specifically to the fact that Rahm Emanuel's dual loyalty issue was getting attention around the world. Here is further evidence: A showdown at Harvard next week on Israel/Palestine, with sociological overtones. Yes I know I'm being reductive. But in this corner, wearing the blue and white trunks, Noah Feldman is a meritocrat once-religious Jew of some assimilationist tendency who nonetheless either supported the Iraq war or who promptly served the occupation and of course has access to the New York Times. Wearing the black trunks, hailing from I don't know where is Duncan Kennedy, an unreconstructed left-lib, critickal legal studies scholar, anti-Iraq, surely against Vietnam, from the WASP fallocracy (that's a coinage; it means they fell out, does it work?) who probably has no access to the New York Times. So it goes, as my literary hero used to say.

Sort of want to go to this. Will someone record it? Will there be girls in shiny dresses holding up the Round cards?
