Jack Ross’s Christmas Eve Post

Jack Ross writes: I meant my post the other day about Wilhelmine Germany all in good fun, but I have to say that the folks on the message board who made such remarks as "would that we could send you (me) back to Germany" hit me as the most hateful I can remember encountering in a very long time, certainly far surpassing those of any confirmed anti-Semites, and yes I have met a few in my time.

Do these people not get that Hitler only emerged because America entered the war, allowed the allies to have a decisive victory, and enabled through the wicked construction of Wilsonian democracy the starvation blockade that reduced Germany and its people to desperation?  One shudders at the implications when one see the Israelis making a similar attempt on Gaza.

I just found the following from the recent film about the Christmas Truce on Youtube, and I urge everyone to see it and reflect.  Incidentally, the German officer depicted is a Jew.

Thanks, Jack. That was very beautiful, I mean your post. And the movie too, though I cannot understand how the german mistook the scots for englishmen. With all those english subtitles poping under the scots' chins couldn't he imagine they were talking something with little resemblance to… english?

  2. Jim Haygood says:

"Hitler only emerged because America entered the war"

Over one million Jewish civilians were murdered between July and October of 1941. So bullshit.
So Jack, you have two choices. You can say that it those million were all Commissars disguised as women and infants, or you can dump your childish theory and rejoin the world of European history.

  3. Have I recommended the apocryphal but interesting discussion by British Navy retired Cmmdr. Jack Carr, about the supposed letter from Albert Pike to Mazzini, outlining a program of three successive world wars? You can find the essentials here:

Jack Ross's article is historically true as to the sequence of cause and effect; just not taught–

  6. Guy Carr, not Jack Carr, sorry. In his book, he claims to have seen this supposed letter from Pike to Mazzini, in one of the manuscript collections at the British Museum, but they deny ever having heard of it.

Phil – did Mailer ever write about the theory that the Jewish bible is really the story of an imposter deity, JHVH, pretending to be the real God, Elohim? JHVH is certainly a much weirder character than Elohim, and the resulting text of the Jewish bible has been rewritten from the point of view of the victorious Jahwists, after all.

Post no. 2 above, with my name under it, is not my post.

The moron who's impersonating me doesn't understand that Jack Ross was talking about WW I – 'Wilsonian' being the operative clue.

  8. Colin Murray says:

Err, Jim, you need to actually read the man's post, and listen to what he said, not what you wish he had said. Mr. Ross was referring to WORLD WAR I. While I make no claim to understand the nuances of antisemitism, it is becoming apparent to me that at least in part it springs from a profound and lazy ignorance cultivated by astounding arrogance. Did the term "Wilsonian democracy" not provide enough of a clue? Merry Christmas!

  9. American says:

"Do these people not get that Hitler only emerged because America entered the war, allowed the allies to have a decisive victory, and enabled through the wicked construction of Wilsonian democracy the starvation blockade that reduced Germany and its people to desperation?"

While this is true it sounds like a lot like just another way to blame America for Hitler and the jews.
We have all heard it all..America let the jews die…America didn't bomb the railroad tracks, no one has ever done anything for the jews, America sent the St. Louis jews to their deaths, all of Europe is anti semitic…Every one is guilty of Every Thing against the jews..yada yada.

The eternal jewish question is this..what came first?.. the jewish anti gentile and anti every-body-else-ism or the everybodyelse anti semitism?

  10. American says:

BTW….how was it established that the German officer was jewish?
Can we identify the Germans who were part of this?

  11. Colin Murray says:

"While this is true it sounds like a lot like just another way to blame America for Hitler and the jews."

You guys are so missing the point. You do agree that American participation was necessary for the starvation blockade, and that it did lead the devastation that caused the rise of Nazism. Mr. Ross' point is that the Israeli AND American starvation blockade will foster a similar exterminatory radicalism in its victims in Gaza. And make no mistake, this is an American operation as much as an Israeli one. We are, per long-standing policy, providing diplomatic cover with official browbeating of the spineless Europeans into silence and, per long-standing tradition, keeping our public ignorant of both the crimes and their potential blowback onto us with a compliant, if not willing, media that remains steadfastly silent. It ought to go without mention, but since some folks need to be reminded often, American financial subsidization, both official and private, is critical to prevent Israel from having to actually suffer the pain of carrying out the operation by reducing services provided by its government. Hamas charities were demonized for exactly the same thing.

Stanley Weintraub wrote a moving account of the Christmas Truce by compiling letters sent home from the front, as well as diaries of the soldiers involved. His book is entitled Silent Night: The Story of the World War I Christmas Truce

The last chapter of Weintraub's book is entitled "What If — ?" This is counterfactual history at its best and he sets out what he believes the rest of the 20th century would have been like if the soldiers had been able to cause the Christmas Truce of 1914 to stop the war at that point. Like many other historians, he believes that with an early end of the war in December of 1914, there probably would have been no Russian Revolution, no Communism, no Lenin, and no Stalin. Furthermore, there would have been no vicious peace imposed on Germany by the Versailles Treaty, and therefore, no Hitler, no Nazism and no World War II. With the early truce there would have been no entry of America into the European War and America might have had a chance to remain, or return, to being a Republic rather than moving toward World War II, the "Cold" War (Korea and Vietnam), and our present status as the world bully.
    Weintraub states that:
". . . Franklin D. Roosevelt, only an obscure assistant secretary of the navy — of a fleet going nowhere militarily — would have returned to a boring law practice, and never have been the losing but attractive vice presidential candidate in 1920, a role earned by his war visibility. Wilson, who would not be campaigning for reelection in 1916 on a platform that he kept America out of war, would have lost (he only won narrowly) to a powerful new Republican president, Charles Evans Hughes. . . ." (p. 167)
He also suggests another result of the early peace:
"Germany in peace rather than war would have become the dominant nation in Europe, possibly in the world, competitor to a more slowly awakening America, and to an increasingly ambitious and militant Japan. No Wilsonian League of Nations would have emerged. . . . Yet, a relatively benign, German-led, Commonwealth of Europe might have developed decades earlier than the European Community under leaders not destroyed in the war or its aftermath." (p. 167)
Many leaders of the British Empire saw the new nationalistic Germany (since 1870–71) as a threat to their world trade, especially with Germany's new navy. The idea that economics played a major role in bringing on the war was confirmed by President Woodrow Wilson after the war in a speech wherein he gave his assessment of the real cause of the war. He was campaigning in St. Louis, Missouri in September of 1919 trying to get the US Senate to approve the Versailles Treaty and he stated:
"Why, my fellow-citizens, is there [anyone] here who does not know that the seed of war in the modern world is industrial and commercial rivalry? . . . This war, in its inception, was a commercial and industrial war. It was not a political war."

Further, a related economic major reason for the US entry into
the war was the American bankers and big businessmen were scared
to near death by the mid point of the war that England was losing
and they would never get paid for all the war material sold to the Brits.

After the spontaneous truce, which was initiated by the Germans,
the Brits made sure it wouldn't happen again by constantly
moving troops around and commanding non-stop bombardments for
    Christmas time.

"While this is true it sounds like a lot like just another way to blame America for Hitler and the jews."

True. Germany's problem with the jews was probably systemic. Whether by the pressure of war or by the fear of soviet terror it would eventually unravel. Nevertheless, now that the West has been reduced to a mere shadow of what it could have been, we have to face the past and reflect on the wrong choices we made. On their part, americans must ferret out the neocons and zionists from their cocoon of jewish protection lest they suffer a fate similar to the germans who took too much time to do what they had to and were maneuvered by the zionists into the worst possible path.

Thanks to our good anon for the excelent complement to Jack's post.

PS: so the Haregood, the fake Haygood, cannot tell first from second world war. And there is still people who believe he is the real deal. Come on.

  14. Scott says:

    Jack,
Thanks for posting this–it's the nearest I've come to choking up with the "oceanic feeling" this Christmas; really beautiful, and tragic considering what the war meant to this civilization. What year did the actual event take place?

  15. Jim Haygood says:

I apologize to Jack Ross–I read his post in haste (it was Xmas eve after all) and I wrongly thought he was blaming America for Hitler's Holocaust. His ninth grade social studies understanding of the rise of Hitler isn't much better (does he know Germany never paid any reparations?), but it's beside the point.
On another front, I too have a full-fledged Jim Haygood imitator out there–he posted something about Harold Pinter. He said very little himself (NOT a Haygood trait!), but he sure used my name.

  16. Colin Murray says:

My apologies to Jim. I didn't see your post right above mine because I was writing mine when yours went up. So my criticism is directed at the 'fake' Jim.

  18. Returning to my question about Norman Mailer and the enigmatic JHVH: I admit that treating JHVH in his entirety as a sort of sub-divine rogue element would be a bit of a stretch, but from a kabbalistic point of view, the lower levels of emanation within JHVH can be taken over by a variety of forces, from nechesh to moschiach, as they say.

  19. In fact, if you follow that train of thought, and investigate the differences between the modern JHVH cult and the original Elohim cult, which is sort of generic to the Semitic-speaking world, you begin to see that powerful religious orders like ChaBaD are actually set up specifically to control the flow between the higher and the lower worlds of emanation, so it isn't surprising they hobnob with world governments bhind your back.

  20. Germany paid about 1/8th the Versailles reparations.

  21. Joachim, did you see this thing about the state trying to get control of the supposed tomb of bar Yohai at Meron? Haaretz say rather dismissively, "Most of the area, where a majority of the charity boxes are, is under Sephardic control."

rel=”nofollow”>Versailles Wilson presented his !4 points Program
for postwar Europe. . Sadly, Prime Minister Georges Clemenceau wanted to impose policies deliberately meant to cripple Germany militarily, politically, and economically so as never to be able to invade France again, and it was this French "Revanchism " which crippled the Weimar-republic and made Hitler's ascent to Chancellor possible

  23. MRW. says:

Joachim, in one of your links above, you write: "some German Jewish Zionists may have stabbed the German Empire in the back during WW1."

That's what Benjamin Freedman said. He was present at the Treat of Versailles talks as a liaison in 1918 or 1919, whenever it was.

  24. daga says:

    @ MRW

WZO, ZOA and Rothschild made a deal with the englishmen. If they could presuade US to enter the War in Europe, The englishmen, if or when victorious, would support a jewish state in ME –> Balfour Declaration of 1917. This was a Letter of Intent, and never ratified by the Parliament. A similar Letter was given to the arabs -see Thomas Edward Lawrence' (of Arabia) "Seven Pillars of Wisdom"

  25. anon says:

Yes, this is true. After the war, the Brits reneged on their promise
to the Arabs of a giant Arab superstate, and added insult to injury
by firmly planting the Jewish Agency in the heart of it. The whole long affair reminds me of how the native Americans were bamboozled by the American Union in so many treaties, hence the term arose "White man speaks (and writes) with forked tongue."

To Native Americans, their word was their bond; Whites buried
the apparent mutual promises in terms of art, and tiny print on
back pages of their treaties–for native Americans, all written in
a foreign language in the first place.

    Scams, anyone?
