I was just going thru clipfiles in the basement and came on an article I wrote 10 years back for the New York Observer, speculating that Vince Foster had died not at his own hand. The article was all about an apparent alteration in official records as to neck wound/head wound, discovered by my old friend Hugh Sprunt.
The only reason I bring this up is: I got to write about wild stuff at the New York Observer! I got to write about anything I frikkin pleased in American politics! I was a columnist; I got to indulge my whims. And then I started writing about the Israel lobby and the welcome mat disappeared! Ha! Funny! Funny like a fish, not funny haha.
But everything's changing. The world's changing. I said Gaza was going to kill the Israel lobby, and I'm looking good. This is from an Arab friend:
cause is too just. There are way too many good people on our side.
There are way too many bad people on the other side. America is
becoming weaker and less pro-Israel than ever before. It was America
that skewed everything in this conflict, and now this mammoth will
become less and less of a problem. Without America, everything
changes. Europe and the Arab world will change. Everything else will
change.
But most encouragingly, perhaps, is the plight of the Zionist extremists in America, who now are really on a par with the Klan.
