Does anyone care to read this man's prevarications? I don't think I'm going to. Thankfully this sort of useless activity, explaining away the neocons and Iraq, will preoccupy the dangerous Perle for the rest of his life.

Blogroll

The only thing useful about these guys and their publications is reading between the lines in order to see where things are headed – as long as they have influence.
In the same way as the NY Times are a pretty good barometer of elite NY circles' opinion, reading the National Review Online, the WSJ editorial pages and the Weekly Standard used to offer an experienced reader a pretty good idea of what would probably come next in the Bush years. Jim Lobe is one of those who understood this and became Persona Non Grata at the American Enterprise Institute for following them so closely and being such an ass!
Other than that, nothing useful. These guys are propagandists of the highest order. Only people with some knowledge of Stalinist Soviet Union can really grasp their tactics. Remember, they never hesitated to jump ship in order to succeed, ending up in the Republican Party of all places! They wouldn't hesitate for a moment to abandon even the US if they sensed a permanent decline of her power, moving to China or Korea (or Mars for that matter!) in a heartbeat.
They belong to a small but very very powerful faction of their tribe who provide for them the means to live comfortable lives as "intellectuals", "scholars", "journalists" and even spies when the need arises. That's all they are.
Time to review how Perle, Wolfowitz, Feith et al have managed to
infest our government in behalf Israel for forty years, with the outcome we see today: link to counterpunch.org
Phil,
I like your style.
"Thankfully this sort of useless activity, explaining away the neocons and Iraq, will preoccupy the dangerous Perle for the rest of his life."
I wondered why he stayed out of the news so long. Now we know. He had to find some kind of alternative explanation. That took him awhile. No wonder.
Your website is very informative and daring, I'd say. Although, I believe the Israel isn't all that bad. They're just scared and they're quite right about being scared. Not just Jews in Israel, I might add.
The pro-Palestine marches in Europe — and where I live, the Netherlands — are definately not just displays of anti-Zionism or compassion for Palestinians in Gaza. Young muslims are screaming slogans like "Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas[chambers]!" and "Hitler! Hitler!"
Don't get me wrong, criticism of Israel is just and must be possible (and in Europe it IS possible — and fashionable too), but I've seen quite some shocking things recently. Overt anti-Semitism by the masses in the streets where I grew up in is not something we should dismiss as frustration or the stupidity of the youth. This latest conflict has some nasty spill-over effects into Europe.
I'll attach a clip for you, at 0:43 sec, the masses start shouting.
