Tony Kushner: It is immensely important for Jews of conscience not to remain silent under pressure from the Jewish community

"Catastrophically misguided and incomprehensible policy," the great Kushner tells Democracy Now, at a JATO demonstration last night in the cold in New York. It has gotten easier to speak out within the Jewish community in the last few years, says the trailblazing playwright, who has been twice to Gaza and seen "unimaginable... real, terrible suffering... It's a shande that we're the authors of oppression anywhere on earth."
