More from last week's monumental event on Capitol Hill when Congressmen Brian Baird, Rush Holt and Keith Ellison spoke about their recent trips to Gaza. It's an hour long video, you can watch Rep. Ellison's quote above at about 14:30 here.
The representatives are sharing more about more about what they saw on their trip, and what has led them to call for "fundamental changes" to US policy in Israel/Palestine. Rep. Baird has posted photos and two videos from the trip on his website. The first is from a chance encounter with men who invited the congressmen into their destroyed home for tea. The second is with the principal of the destroyed American International School:

I have one message for you today, just one, the missles and rockets and mortars and Hamas inspired terrorism must stop.
I have another – use a flash blocker if these things auto-downloading onto you annoy you. I suppose it's just the crawls at the bottom of each one, but they get my hub lights flashing in a way I do not like.
Such blisters are mere symptoms, cb; they will vanish if the cancerous occupation is cut out.
The second interview, the individual stated that first the militants stole their equipment, burned their buses, harrassed their students, then the IDF.
It supports the thesis that if militancy is reigned in, moderation will emerge. If militancy is encouraged, wild repurcussions, errors of judgement, errors of logistics, will occur.
I didn't hear the quote in the videos presented.
At the press conference, ALL of the presenters asserted that the shelling must stop, as well as rational concern for the people of Gaza and the specific focused victims of the military effort.
