Will Max Blumenthal's video lead to an explosion of hatred similar to the publication by Denmark's Jyllands-Posten of cartoons of the prophet Muhammad? There have been great tensions between Black Americans and Jews in Crown Heights and other places in the USA. Are we going to experience another whirlwind of violence, anti Jewish abuse and torching of Synagogues?
I doubt it, but the idea of a burning synagogue will surely warm our wittle Phillip's heart.

My sentiments exactly. :-) We already lost Jim Haygood because of these frauds. It is very demoralizing and damaging to the debate. Perhaps the perpetrator could satisfy his/her desire to "be" Saleema by acting out the fantasy in a less public arena. Perhaps try dressing up as Saleema (or what you imagine him/her to be) and parading around, but just in your own room, take photos maybe. :-) .

It's funny in more ways than one. Somehow this myth about the sole of the shoe has convinced Americans that they now know everything about Arab culture. Oddly, they cannot seem to differentiate between throwing a shoe or hitting someone with a shoe and simply letting them see the sole of your shoe. I imagine some poor, naive American sitting on the ground contorting himself into a pretzel for fear that he will be beheaded on the spot if he shows anyone the sole of his shoe while all the Arabs around him are wondering why he doesn't just stick his feet out in front of him, which would be much more comfortable.

If you use your real name these games are really threatening. How often does someone google a name. Blog comments would be a good thing to see what the more private views of the person are. How easy to take the spoofer for the real person. Would you look closer, take the time to check? This is not a joke, but defamation. It happened to me once with a real nutcase. You can't be present all the time either. That's the problem. And obviously the best time for spoofing is when the person isn't around.
