a third intifadah?

Access to the Temple Mount is being restricted following Palestinian violence in Jerusalem. The JPost:

Jerusalem Police chief Cmdr. Aharon Franco caused a brief stir when, referring to the ongoing violence, he called the capital’s Muslim residents "ungrateful."
"There’s a certain degree of ungratefulness from the city’s Muslim population," Franco said, "after the police worked hard to allow peaceful prayers on the Temple Mount over the month of Ramadan."
Franco’s statements provoked outrage from Arab lawmakers, including MK Ahmed Tibi (United Arab List-Ta’al), who suggested that the police chief "take a course in democracy and the values of equality. Not all Jews are smart," he said.

Shattered rising expectations (Obama-Mitchell peacemaking?) have often been the spark that ignites rebellion. In the face of mounting Palestinian violence in Jerusalem and the possibility of the outbreak of a third Intifada, the reaction of the Police Chief Franco is _________ . (fill in the blank)

1. Nuanced and reasonable.

2. A possible beginning for dialog between two embattled peoples.

3. A mindless expression of colonial mentality.

4. A celebration of an undivided Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty.
