I know it's early but this Sunday at 9:30 a.m., there will be a number of good speakers at Busboys and Poets in Washington to talk about Gaza and the Goldstone Report. Notably Phyllis Bennis of Institute for Policy Studies and Laila El-Haddad, new author and a contributor to this Goldstone book. I'm going to be there, too, and we are also hoping for a report from a friend who has just returned from Gaza.
Here's the event, 14th and V in DC.

Will they be discussing what some say was the real reason for OP Cast Lead, the oil and gas deposits off the Gaza coast? Israeli interests already lay claim to the total deposits area, sixty percent of which is in Gaza territorial waters.
Israel has a history of owning and/or claiming all natural resources–not a good reason for hankering for a Palestine state. Water, land, and sea, and even which air Palestinians breathe: link to mycatbirdseat.com
