Exciting news, Mondoweiss staff reporter extraordinaire Alex Kane will now be working on the site as an Assistant Editor. It feels odd saying “welcome” to someone who has been central to this site for several years, but it is a new role and we’re excited about it. Anyone who has spent five minutes on Mondoweiss has seen Alex’s rock solid reporting, illuminating interviews and smart analysis. This move will open a bit more time for him to write for the site and bring him over to the editorial side as well.

The great Jewish cleavage is beginning to roll and I don’t mean something you’d see on the beach at Eilat.
The split between America’s Jews and Israel’s will be monumental and watching it for Mondo will be a great experience.
