Thanks to Abir Kopty and Allison Deger: “Abduall Abu Rahmed was hit by a settler car near Ofer prison in one of the West Bank protests today around 1 pm.” Critical footage is at 1:20. Notice that license plate is yellow, indicating it is an Israeli car.

No doubt another case of attempted murder that will, of course, go unpunished.
Anywhere else in the world, this would be treated as a felony hit-and-run. But in Israel, where the boss and master is the Zionist Jew, this will be brushed away and ignored. The soldiers standing there will just say, “We were surrounded by a hostile crowd of demonstrators. We didn’t see what happened on the other side of the street.”
This type of criminality is only possible because of the dehumanization of Arabs and racism toward Arabs in which Israeli Jewish society marinates.
How dare this pesky Palestinian drive on my Jews only road.
A settler. Need to say more? And please don’t call them Nazis it’s not helpful.
Should we also pretend that psychologically damaged victims of violence, torture and other ill-treatments do NOT go on to become perpetrators? Should we pretend that Israel is NOT using the “holocaust” and “anti-semite” cards to continue perpetrating gross and inhuman violations against the indigenous Arab populations of Palestine without criticism? How many years was World War 2 again? How many years has the Israeli occupation of Palestine been going on? Are Jews the only victims that have the right to declare their victimization? Get a grip. Call it what it is. If they’re acting like Nazis then they’re Nazis.
You see, they’re sensitive and their feelings are easily hurt..
Sorry, I’m not concerned at all about their “feelings” when they’re dropping bombs on civilians homes and obliterating entire families.
Do you think in the 1940s if a German ran over a Jew with his car , a Nazi soldier or Cop would have done anything about it? If a group of Germans burned down a synagogue and wrote “Death to the Jews” would they have made arrests? How is this different? I never see Jewish soldiers firing their weapons into the air when other Jews are protesting. I have seen Jewish soldiers standing by while settlers throw rocks at Christian and Muslim kids but when I see arabs throwing rocks they shoot at them. How isn’t this comparable?

Please dont’ use the phase…’it’s not helpful’….Every time I hear that Hillary Clinton’s fat face flashes before my eyes mouthing it’s not helpful, it’s not helpful.
IMO and FWIW, the protester wasn’t struck by the car. He was part of a crowd that had swarmed the car. As the car maneuvered its way out of the crowd, everyone appeared to get clear of the vehicle, exept for the protester, who only fell from / was shaken from the vehicle when it was finally cleared the crowd and began to drive away.
Excuse me, but the article’s headin s misleading. the definition of the verb “to strike” is “verb (used with object) 1. to deal a blow or stroke to (a person or thing), as with the fist, a weapon, or a hammer; hit. ”
I did no see a car “hitting” the demonstrator. The demonstrator clearly tried to prevent the car from passing in the middle of an automotive road, the car clearly stopped (or was movin very slowly) – so it can not fall under “strike”, perhaps more appropriate was to say that “Israeli car shoves a demontrtor trying to bock it”.
asherpat, your attempt to excuse or justify this assault is reprehensible. You are a vile, immoral person. The driver of this vehicle clearly struck the demonstrator and your attempt to argue in favor of the criminal demonstrates the nature of your mentality.
So, if a hasidic man decides to stand in front of my car or even throw himself on my car in a crosswalk or even on a highway that would give me the right to run into him? The soldiers were there. Dont you think if he remained there that they would have removed him after a bit? The other cars went by just fine.
You’re right. I agree. “Strikes” doesn’t fit in there. “Plows” would be more accurate a description.
Incidentally, that road is in the occupied West Bank and its built on stolen Palestinian land.
But if blocking any road in the world justifies drivers plow through a crowd of people and then continue on driving, then perhaps traffic laws around the world shouldn’t be modeled after Israeli traffic laws — where hit and run seems to be the norm.
Woody,Reuben, Avi,
nothing of what you said above contradicts the logic of my argument. Your rage against Israel is preventing you from seeing undisputed logic.
1. That’s a “Jews only” road in the middle of the West Bank – AKA: the Future Palestinian state, which means its not accessible to West Bank Arabs, or anyone who doesn’t have an Israeli Jewish ID. The fact that the road is even there is a violation of international law.
2. If the car made forceful contact with the demonstrator than that counts as a “strike” and a “strike” constitutes being “hit.” This is especially the case if the car was used as a weapon, which it may have been used as such.
3. A mere “shove” or rather a “bump” wouldn’t send the demonstrator flying off the hood of the car onto the road.
4. Quickly leaving the scene of the accident and showing complete disregard for the health of the demonstrator is quite telling of the Israeli/Settler mentality. It’s also ILLEGAL. Not to mention that the Israeli soldiers on the scene didn’t give a damn. According to International Law (which Israel completely disregards anyway) the occupier is responsible for the well-being and safety of the occupied.
5. As its a yellow plate car, one might argue that it could have been a Palestinian with an Israeli ID, however that is also unlikely since Palestinians with Israeli IDs (meaning those who live in the 1948 territories or annexed Jerusalem) do not consider themselves Israelis and with the Palestinian flag displayed during the demonstration, an Arab driver would not have 1) hit the demonstrator and 2) would not have mistaken the demonstrator as an Israeli. Therefore, it was an Israeli Jew who hit the demonstrator and that also leads to point #6 which is:
6. This is also considered a HATE CRIME. I’m sure any investigator can figure out who the car belongs to. Charges should be filed against the driver.
01:22 when the car enters the frame the person is already on the bonnet. The car is on the wrong side of the road and the correct side of the road appears to be clear. The car doesn’t stop, it accelerates
