U.S. life insurance company underwrites Israeli colonel’s talk on his army’s ‘moral high ground’ in Gaza

The Meltzer Group is a Washington area insurance company. “Many of the nation’s most successful real estate, construction and development firms rely on us to help meet their insurance and financial management needs,” its site reads. And it has endorsements from industry leaders and trade journals. Its CEO is a supporter of Zionist causes, but you’d think his company would stay out of politics.

Nope. Look what it’s sponsoring, at the Sixth and Eye Synagogue in D.C., a speech by an Israeli colonel reservist who has a business looking after Israel’s “moral compass” explaining why it was so necessary for Israel to kill 2100 Palestinians this summer as part of “war on terror.”

Colonel (Res.) Bentzi Gruber, the JCRC’s Israel Action Center Scholar in Residence, discusses the ethics and morals of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in combat. COL Gruber currently serves as Vice–Commander of an armored division of 20,000 soldiers, a position that followed other significant posts of command in the course of more than 30 years serving in the IDF Reserves. This position within the army has given him access and permission to present materials and information that is usually only seen by military or government officials.

COL Gruber will present the many strategic challenges that Israel faces today, including the critical daily decisions made by IDF officers commanders and soldiers. COL Gruber takes audiences behind the scenes of the IDF’s daily battle to both ensure the country’s security and try to uphold one of the most rigorous military codes of ethics in the world today. In a unique multimedia presentation combining classified IDF footage, statistics, and personal narration, COL Gruber explores: the dilemmas facing IDF commanders in locating terrorists within a civilian population; and IDF’s preventative efforts against terrorist attacks. In addition to providing first-hand accounts and documentation from Operation Protective Edge and the IDF’s daily counter terrorism operations.

Will Mr. Gruber also take his audience behind the scenes of the IDF’s daily battle to maintain the oppressive, colonialist, expansionist and supremacist “Jewish State’s” 60+ years, ON-GOING and offensive (i.e., not defensive) campaign of aggression, oppression, theft, colonization, destruction, torture and murder? I suspect he won’t.

One day there’ll be a roast of Bibi. There is so much material to work with

“Colonel (Res.) Bentzi Gruber, the JCRC’s Israel Action Center Scholar in Residence, discusses the ethics and morals of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in combat – ”

He’ll explain why it was necessary to kill the injured IDF soldier Hadar Goldin in a Hannibal procedure. Why this was moral. And how it was ethical.

Apart from their loyalists and the naive, I doubt this world “moral” will be appreciated where the IDF is concerned. The entire world watched as this moral armed forces of Israel slaughtered little kids as they played soccer, without provocation, saw 7 UN shelters being bombed killing hundreds, despite numerous warnings by UN officials, and saw this moral military pummel a kid while he was unconscious. I wonder why no one asked this delusional colonel about all that, instead of pretending to be ignorant, and applauding him.
The Meltzer Group deserve to be boycotted.

Israels consistent policy in both Lebanon and Gaza has been the ‘Dahiya doctrine’ simply put..The strategy itself calls for the deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure in order to induce suffering and severe distress throughout the targeted population. By targeting indiscriminately, the IDF hopes to deter further military attacks against Israel, destroy its enemies, as well as influence the population to oust the militants seen as the primary target. This strategy has been confirmed by many Israel commanders and was ruthlessly used by this war criminal Bentzi Gruber the so called ethical expert, used by the insurance company in this article. http://www.truth-out.org/opinion/item/25285-the-dahiya-doctrine-state-terrorism-and-a-philosophy-of-war-crime
