Wonder Woman opens in theaters today, starring Israeli actress Gal Gadot in the title role. The film is getting great reviews, but many are refusing the see it over Gadot’s support for the Israeli military, especially during the 2014 onslaught on Gaza. Here, Carlos Latuff imagines Gadot’s Wonder Woman being outmatched by her latest opponent, Mother Palestine.

Why not make a pretty, young Palestinian woman the heroine? We also need a Palestinian version of MAUS.

“The film is getting great reviews….”

Indeed, with an Israeli Zionist actress in Zionist Hollywood, it would have to be pretty bad not to get great reviews. And these comic book super hero movies have lowered the bar down to the basement.

Bullet-proof clothing is very heavy and would make it very hard for Mother Palestine to fly, even if she did have proper wings.

I’ve never understood the appeal of American superhero comics. Give me Minnie the Minx rather than Wonder Woman any day!

I applaud the creative approach.

However, I’m sure that many more people refused to see “Last Temptation of Christ” for it’s secular interpretations of Jesus, and Mel Gibson’s “Passion of Christ” for it’s blatant anti-Semitism. Neither movie was hurt at the box office.
