Wonder Woman opens in theaters today, starring Israeli actress Gal Gadot in the title role. The film is getting great reviews, but many are refusing the see it over Gadot’s support for the Israeli military, especially during the 2014 onslaught on Gaza. Here, Carlos Latuff imagines Gadot’s Wonder Woman being outmatched by her latest opponent, Mother Palestine.

Why not make a pretty, young Palestinian woman the heroine? We also need a Palestinian version of MAUS.

      Good point.
Depends on who the audience is…and whether one really wants to win.
Love your drawing, Carlos…but would you entertain another version for western audiences?

“The film is getting great reviews….”

Indeed, with an Israeli Zionist actress in Zionist Hollywood, it would have to be pretty bad not to get great reviews. And these comic book super hero movies have lowered the bar down to the basement.

Bullet-proof clothing is very heavy and would make it very hard for Mother Palestine to fly, even if she did have proper wings.

I’ve never understood the appeal of American superhero comics. Give me Minnie the Minx rather than Wonder Woman any day!

    I applaud the creative approach.

However, I’m sure that many more people refused to see “Last Temptation of Christ” for it’s secular interpretations of Jesus, and Mel Gibson’s “Passion of Christ” for it’s blatant anti-Semitism. Neither movie was hurt at the box office.

Sounds like Wonder Woman is doing great at the box office Let us hope that the BDS movement picks up and quickly. There seems to be disorder in the ranks.

Having a stupid enemy would seem to be a good thing. What’s stopping you from winning then? How is the electricity in Gaza these days?

None of your arguments have ever won anything pal. Like Zionists and Israeli claims, they’re based on nonsense

Hi Annie , I think he has passed his use by date around here. His insulting and heartless comments are really troublesome and he should be denied the platform to market them.I have no problem giving space to someone who offers up a counter argument , no matter how ridiculous it might be but we should draw a line with the kind of remarks he has so often posted here.

I rarely respond to him and perhaps we should all ignore him.The attention is his oxygen.Let,s cut it off and see how long he lasts .

amigo, it brings me (immeasurable) sorrow this kind of spam is allowed to be published here, but alas, that is not up to me. the comment section of mondoweiss used to be such a vital place. if this isn’t trolling i don’t know what is.

“How is the electricity in Gaza these days?”

You are so full of Ziocrap that you simply don`t realise how arrogant, inhumane and hate filled some of your comments are . This comment is on a par with an SS representative asking “how are the rations in the Warsaw Ghetto these days”

Just to remind you although I expect it will not register in your vacuumed brain the people of Gaza are fellow human beings – they include women, children, the elderly, people in need of urgent medical care, people including infants dying through lack of that medical care and the lack of electricity to provide that basic medical care.

Yet all you can do is congratulate yourself on yet another smarmy snide remark.
