I was really excited to hear Al Jazeera was finally coming to NYC cable TV!
I waited years, I had written emails, signed petitions, etc, and then finally they're here!
Well, now I could care less, they've totally let me down regarding their coverage of the I/P issue.
I was told they made an agreement with TWC that in order to broadcast they would not air anything that could make israel look like an aggressor, in other words, airing the truth about what goes on....
A complete sellout tv network
Thanks Leper Colonialist, I just emailed her on the website you provided.
I also suggested she read: "Capturing Jonathan Pollard, How One of the Most Notorious Spies in American History was brought to justice" By Ronald J. Olive, Special Agent, NCIS (Ret.)
Great book on how much damage he did.
@ Mayhem,
Regarding the “Two People’s, One Future” ads in NYC subways.
"Apparently none of them were defaced."
In Queens, the one I kept an eye on, it was just completely scraped off, no sign it had ever been there. The people must have taken a lot of time to do it. And it was reported but never replaced.
EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Woman defaces 'anti-jihad' ad in Times Square station

Cops busted a lone protester -- angry with subway ads equating enemies of Israel as “savages” -- as she spray-painted over one of the controversial signs today

I could swear the 'cop' tells Mona she could have killed the woman....
@ToivoS
I agree, I couldn't watch but :58 seconds of it
But thanks Adam, we do need to be reminded what's going on out there
'Justice Please' I thought you were kidding until I read the link!
Am I being naive here, or has she been reported to dhs or the secret service, as I understand it they look into ALL of this type of talk she did. Maybe we could at least make her life a little miserable for awhile??
Outstanding Annie!!!! Great find!!!!! This is great PR!!
Brilliant Lizzy-Thank you!
I'm beginning to think (hope) Bronner's days are numbered, thanks to Max and others like yourself!
Outstanding MRW and Avi!!!
I knew a little of what the QR code was, but now with the link, I made one with the picture, awesome!!! I will print them on labels and if I see one of Pamela Gellers ads I'll stick one on it! And great pictures Avi!
Brilliant!
It looks like there's a billboard/poster war going on now!
I don't know how to embed photo's, if one can. But I took a picture of a huge billboard on Queens Blvd. and Van Dam St today and did a little research on notproisrael.com who is mentioned in them.
It appears to be the work of the Emergency Committee for israel.
You can see just how gigantic these things are in the Commentary Magazine link below.

I would love to catch someone 'delegitimizing' those ads!
Cameras are ready!

This has gone viral!
They've really jumped on this, everyone one from Pamela Geller to Assemblman ex-JDL terrorist leader, Dov Hikund. I'm gonna check the ad in my subway station to see how long it lasts, I don't expect too long, I'm glad I was able to see it and take a picture before.....
Actually this may be good; similar to the Freedom Flotilla, even though that didn't sail, look at all the press it got!

Yes, and I bet the video will clearly show who did this.......and nothing will be done about it.
It really is sad, I hope Mahmoud recovers physically and emotionally as well.
After watching Max give away tree seedlings at the Jewish National Fund at Lincoln Center I became intrigued with him. I saw the 'Eilat bus shootings' video a couple of days ago, and the line about:
"If Popeye and Olive Oyl were Islamists, would they be fair game as well?" was hilarious,
but I've not seen the others, thanks for sharing!
I'm finishing his book 'Republican Gomorrah' now and I can't get enough of him!
Knowledgable and articulate!
It's official, I love the guy!!
Tuba Skinny speaks out on cancellation of show at Red Sea Festival:
"The day before our flight, after hours of stressful deliberation, we decided that we should not back out of our slated appearance for these reasons: Many people who live in Israel and wish for equal rights and peace had bought tickets to see us, and it was mere days before the show; the organizers, whose political stance has never been known to us, had worked very hard on our behalf; We were in Italy with no way home; and we viewed it as an opportunity to speak out against segregation and senseless killing. We thought to donate the proceeds from the festival to relief and human rights organizations involved in this crisis.
After reaching this painful decision, we immediately learned of the killings outside of Eilat and the subsequent bombings in Gaza, both with the loss of innocent lives. This was the icing on the cake. We could not support any of these actions, let alone risk the obvious personal danger that was implied. It was for a mixture of these reasons that we decided to back out. Not only the Apartheid Wall, not only the attacks at Gaza, not only the attacks outside of Eilat, not only the endless violence for centuries, but all of it combined. Of course we do not support the merciless bulldozing of homes or the indiscriminate murder of Israeli and Palestinian people from both sides!"

Great news! Another win for cultural BDS. I heard they lost a lot of money canceling their trip, I say we circulate a call asking people to support the band by downloading their album....I have.

Congrats!!
And you gotta love those anonymous friends!!!
Keep up the great work!
Thank you Susan, beautifully written!
A very poignant film, I can’t wait to see it!!
I know Mondoweiss will keep us updated when it comes to NYC, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing Ahmed, I needed to hear that!
I'm sorry to say as I watched that video my thoughts are not of non-violence, but it's not about me, it's about the people of Nabi-Seleh and all the other peoples of the OPT and also the Palestinians who stayed behind in what is now Israel and are treated as less than second class people.
After having listened to their stories, I came away with such respect for the people, the Palestinian people, who have put up with this day after day, year after year; the three o’clock in the morning raids by fully armed soldiers with tear gas masks sticking rifles in children’s faces, the arrests, the beatings, the confiscation of people’s land and homes, the placing of boulders to block the roads to harass the people from using what roads they are allowed to use, the checkpoints we endured for minutes that they endure for hours, if they are even let through that day, the sometimes allowing a man to keep his land, but to not let him build on it, when not even a tent is allowed to be erected, all because their relentless pursuit of the unobtainable Building Permit was again denied, the harassment that takes place in so many shapes and forms, the systemic harassment of it all so they finally give up and leave.
Well, I’ve got news for them, the Palestinian people won’t give up, they are here to stay!
I honestly don't know how they do it, they have a resolve far stronger than I could ever hope to have. That is where my respect goes, to the people of Palestine!
What I learned while there was that the main thing, above all else, is about the need for basic equal human rights for all, and yes, non-violence is the only way.
I hope that one day Syed will be able to leave East Jerusalem and go wherever his heart desires…..and then be able to return to his home, and it still be there waiting for him.
I hope that one day soon, there will be no more need to show videos like the violent dispersal of a non-violent demonstration and that the Palestinian people get all they deserve, starting with equal rights and everything else that comes with it.
It brings tears to my eyes just writing this and remembering what I saw while there, I will never forget this incredible journey.
I thank you Adam and Anna, and all the other delegates who taught me so much, for making my trip such a memorable one, for opening my eyes and my soul for the Palestinian people.
Brilliant Max! Once again thanks for showing me how people are so easily able to shoot themselves in the foot!. Give'em enough rope.......
You wouldn't want to live there? I'm actually having second thoughts about visiting!!!
I'll be heading there along with the ifpb delegation and after watching that video, why would I want to go if these are the type of attitude I'll be encountering???
But the other part of me tells me I have to go, to experience first hand.
I'm sure it will be an eye opener.
And speaking of The NY Times, after reading Ethan Bronner's article today and an article in Electronic Intifada I've just canceled my subscription to the Times.
I've had enough of Bronner and Kershner and the whole biased reporting thing.

I can only repeat what others have said:
You truly are a brave man Christopher! I wish you a speedy recovery!
My father told me as I was growing up; "don't say you hate, say you don't like"...........I'm trying, I really am.
No democracy, no compassion, no equal rights, no humanity.....morals???
MRW, the link to the Seymour Hersh article came up: Page not Found.
I've attached another, hoping that's ok.

Is this what the youth of today have become? I thought one went to University to learn, but not to learn to become ignorant and naive, or was this just an excuse to rally and have a few beers? Unfortunately I don't think so. I find this distressful and depressing, and quite scary considering the repercussions, I think these actions are just going to incite more, and quick attacks. Typical chest-beating, we kicked his ass, we can kick anybody's ass, bring'em on mentality, very scary. I had though it was just the government that was *expletive* up, now I'm not so sure....Where's this country heading?
From the attached Robert Fisk article:
"Of course, there is one more obvious question unanswered: couldn't they have captured Bin Laden? Didn't the CIA or the Navy Seals or the US Special Forces or whatever American outfit killed him have the means to throw a net over the tiger? "Justice," Barack Obama called his death. In the old days, of course, "justice" meant due process, a court, a hearing, a defence, a trial. Like the sons of Saddam, Bin Laden was gunned down. Sure, he never wanted to be taken alive – and there were buckets of blood in the room in which he died.
But a court would have worried more people than Bin Laden. After all, he might have talked about his contacts with the CIA during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, or about his cosy meetings in Islamabad with Prince Turki, Saudi Arabia's head of intelligence."

Yes, thank you Mya for your comments
When I first heard this morning the news I was quite apathetic to it all.
Although my first thought was, they buried him at sea? There’s goes any proof of this ever happening, because unfortunately, I take anything my government tells me with a grain of salt.
Then I started to see videos of Americans riding around in their cars waving huge flags out their cars and whooping it up, and the people down at the WTC assembling all morning and again screaming, yelling and celebrating, it made me think if NYC didn’t have such strict gun control laws, people would have also been out firing their guns in the air, I was kind of sickened by it all really, celebrating the death of someone, anyone.
And don’t think for one minute this means Al-Queda is now defunct, because, unfortunately I see something happening real soon now, especially with the videos showing ‘u.s.’ celebrating all over the country, in addition to those fake pictures that were posted all over the internet, there will be ‘reprisals’.
This also made me think of how I felt when israel’s mossad kidnapped the Palestinian engineer Dirar Abu Sisi on a Ukrainian train, just going wherever they felt like and doing what they want, that certain arrogance, but then, one has to ask, where did they learn this??
Like I say, I’m somewhat apathetic to it all, and for someone who browses through countless newspapers and news websites every day (mostly non-US, I might add) learning about what’s going on out there, I really haven’t read much on this killing, and have no desire.
I’m saddened by our reaction and am tired of hearing this on every network TV station…..I think I’ll listen to some music, thanks for letting me share.
Thanks Bijou, mig and all for your comments
Thanks Sand, that video was classic
Well that didn't take long.! Too bad, I was looking forward to hearing her, I think she could have said alot and still kept the focus on the issue at hand. And I didn't entirely agree with what you had written either Phil.
So what now? A replacement or not? How about James Abourezk? I'd love to hear him
I'm sorry to say have to share this, but BBC is saying they found his body. Condolences

Reminds me of Jimmy Carter apologizing to israel in 12/09......
Happy Birthday Gentlemen!
I can't thank you enough for opening my eyes wide open!
I too check your site multiple times of the day and am amazed at the things you dig up. I love this site!
You two are truly my heroes!
Keep up the good work!
YES!!!! (clenched fists and arms raised in the air!)
Thanks Phil, I needed to read the Giraldi piece, I wasn't too sure about J Street, now I am....I agree 100% with Girldi. I wouldn't be surprised somewhere down the road AIPAC and JStreet joined forces and made a super pro-israeli lobby, invincible...
and thx Annie, I just looked at the Global CST video, interesting they have a few U.S personnel (arm flag patch) in the video, along with the third largest recipient of U.S. aid plugging away for their company, Colombia.
Thanks for sharing Morgan, especially that last sentence.
Thank you Chaos4700 and Avi for the pic's!!
I had never seen any like that before, we're usually subjected to the ones showing Palestinian kids dressed up in battle fatigues and how their parents teach them hate, along with the usual diatribe.
The msm really do keep those hidden; any others?
And yes, the wolf in sheeps' clothing was great!
I just want to say Thanks to Anonymous for sharing, I got a good feeling inside just seeing these, even if they're up only for a short time. I'm going to make a donation to bdsmovement.net right now! THAT, is putting the money to good use (in my humble opinion).
I don't think this would ever get over in NYC!
Thx Pabelmont-
I totally agree with that first paragraph!
In the last para, I'm not sure how you meant that about Rahm....but I would NOT have taken Rahm Emanual in!

I rejoiced when I first heard about him not qualifying for residency in Chicago, but something told me he'd still get away with it, and sure enough, the Supreme beings put him back on the ballot
Can someone 'post ' this to her facebook page, the one in question?
I don't 'like' her, and won't 'like' her, so I can't.
Let her see what they think of her....
annie-
you're absolutely right, no coincidence, I was trying to find my post and just realized it was on this older Jan. 19 post, Thx!
Very poignant film, I can't wait to see it.
I know Adam/Mondoweiss will keep us updated if and when it comes to NYC, thanks for sharing!
Kathleen-
I don't know where you get this stuff, but thank you, I always look forward to your comments.
Yes, this is insane, something like that just wouldn't have crossed my mind, but, why not??
I guess Abe Foxman and the like surely sent letters too, as I understand my Rep. Anthony Weiner does every year!
Arrrgghhhhh!
I got my copy!
And not from Amazon, but from Barnes and Noble!
I just wish I could boycott Apple as easily as Amazon :P
Thanks Phil and Adam!
And let's not forget to thank Irving Moskowitz, a Jewish-American millionaire and a longtime patron of Jewish settlers for whom The Shepherd Hotel project is funded by. All the money this guy has given to settlement building, and our government allows him to sidestep the laws.
It makes me sick.....
Thank you Philip and Adam and everyone else for opening my eyes, wide open, I love this site!
Ironic isn't it??

Note the HiDromek (Turkish) backhoe/bulldozer....it's not only Caterpillar BDS!!
I remember maybe last year in JFK airport (NYC) while waiting for my flight and going through fairly stringent security, an orthodox jewish man standing, facing the wall and praying back and forth and thinking to myself, and almost acting on it complaining to security, that what if that were a muslim man on a prayer mat praying in the corner, that surely would have raised eyebrows, so why was it no security men approached the jewish man??? I'm ashamed to say I didn't say anything to the security guards, because I figured I probably would have been the one who's flight got delayed.......talk about sterotyping

"the American Educational Trust, publisher of an Arab-oriented journal." it almost sounds evil!!
Actually a great magazine called: "Washington Report on Middle East Affairs".
American Educational Trust
"The American Educational Trust (AET) is a non-profit foundation incorporated in Washington, DC in 1982 by retired U.S. foreign service officers to provide the American public with balanced and accurate information concerning U.S. relations with Middle Eastern states. AET perceives a dearth in knowledge about the Middle East, Arabs, and Muslims, in the U.S., and pursues an educational mission of “Interpreting the Middle East for North Americans; Interpreting North America for the Middle East.”

Thanks for the heads-up on the book! I'm always looking for new books to learn about the Nakba that took place!
Good luck Marcy!
I just sent you a contribution from NYC to Cali!
I admire you, you got big cojones!!
Give her hell!
Problem is, they said once before they 'would never do it again', back in 1987.
"The Sunday Times said in a front-page article today that eight fake British passports intended ''for Mossad secret service hit men to attack opponents abroad were discovered by chance last summer in a bag inside a telephone booth in West Germany.''
