They will ride bicycles more, live their lives more within their communities, and have gardens again, and better food. The war on obesity will at last have meaning. Inventors will be unleashed on the energy problem, with great effect. Religion will refocus on stewardship of the earth that bears us rather than medieval narratives. Another buck and those house-sized SUVs will finally get off the road.
