Georgia Overplayed Its Hand Because It Figured It Was Another Israel

Speaking of Jewish origins in western Asia, Arnaud de Borchgrave has a good piece today on "the Israel of the Caucasus," describing the Georgia crisis as the result of a Tel Aviv-Tbilisi "axis" that the neoconservatives in the Bush administration encouraged. de Borchgrave suggests that Saakashvili in Georgia overplayed his hand because he figured, we're the new Israel. Then no one showed up when his army was crushed. Further evidence that the neoconservative agenda is being discredited in D.C.–with damaging fall-out to the Israel relationship.
