‘The Zionists in this Town Work Just Like the Sopranos’

Henry Herskovitz of Ann Arbor went to the West Bank, was shocked to see the violence toward Arabs, and came back and began doing vigils outside his synagogue. He says:

What’s really amazing is that the Zionists in this town working just like the Soprano Family does. For instance a synagogue congregant wrote a letter, in August to the council, to the Mayor and the Council which was very openly threatening in my mind. It said ” We represent four hundred and seventy families in Ann Arbor and we are going to be watching you actions carefully and we vote..” Then, fifty days later the City comes out with a letter condemning our vigils. The council people haven’t even done more than drive by and observe our vigils. This is how the mechanism works…If you ask me am I angry. Very Angry. I’m angry at the Rabbis, I’m angry at my family, I’m angry with the people who knew and didn’t say….Pogo said, “We have met the enemy and he is us.” And that’s what is happening here. That’s the whole bottom line as to what is happening.
