Christian Leaders Tell Obama: I/P Conflict Has Gone on ‘Too Long’

Want to cry? Read this letter to Obama from a broad group of Christian groups declaring that the conflict in Israel/Palestine has gone on too long, caused untold suffering to two peoples, and "provided a rallying cry to extremists." So: make it your top priority, Barack, say these evangelicals, Episcopalians and other Protestants, Catholics, Greek Orthodox, black churches, you name it–who are worried about the Christians in the Holy Land, whose "numbers continue to decline."

So pray for Jerusalem, they say, all people of goodwill. And please Mr. Obama, work vigorously for a just peace in the Holy Land. (I threw in just peace, they just say peace). Let Jerusalem become a symbol of hope and co-existence of the sons of Abraham. Sister, I got my mojo working, cause I can't copy from a pdf!

Do these folks have a prayer? A broad coalition, and who is their representative in the administration, next to the four horsemen of the lobby? I see that Tim Geithner got married by a minister. I'm tired of Not being conspiratorial about the lobby. The Jewish presence is a giant factor in American public life, especially when it comes to the Middle East. And when is it openly discussed?
