The compliant Palestinian Authority readily accepted Israel's
suppression of yesterday's celebrations. They had known at least a week
before that Israel won't allow the main celebration to be here in Jerusalem, and the invites they sent out back then already indicated the Bethlehem location.
Palestinians
with two functional neurons were wondering how much more spineless our
collaborationist regime can become, by not even daring to celebrate
Jerusalem in Jerusalem. A television hook-up was not defiance; defiance
would have been to do it all here and face some real heat. I'm just
ashamed that Mr Abbas has not yet been shoe'd off. I'm ashamed of the
Palestinians who participated in his sham Bethlehem event.
