Scott McConnell, noting the Jane Harman news, points out that this is a wrinkle in the last neocon push:
I assume that powerful Congressmen and women have a pretty good sense of political realities, so I took it as a very good sign that Jane Harman felt some need to back away from bellicose statements made to AIPAC, when challenged by the National Iranian American Council, led by Trita Parsi. .. Harman seemed to have backed off with a semi- apology. This seems to me better than almost anything that happened in Congress in 2002-2003.
