Memo to the world: Israel is never leaving the West Bank

Yair Lapid was the great hope of liberal Zionists. The former TV anchor surged in the January elections and said that Israel could not put off the Palestinian issue.
Well now Lapid is Netanyahu’s Finance Minister and check it out — he’s approving special aid to an illegal settlement:

Finance Minister Yair Lapid has told Ariel University he will grant the institution NIS 50 million [about $13.5 million] in special aid, making good on a pledge by Lapid’s predecessor, Yuval Steinitz.

And here’s a video of Ariel University. Says Bruce: “The real Israel is in full view in this video. These people are not leaving the West Bank.”

Netanyahu appears on the video 35 seconds in. He says:

Ariel sits in a strategic point that overlooks the entire coastal plain of Israel. It sits in the heart of Samaria in which we have ancestral roots it protects our past and it also guarantees our future.

Memo to Israel
Smart money says 30 years or even less from now you wont exist as a Jewish state.
Better get ready for the One State and the Arab demographic bomb.

Duh.

Israel never cared about ‘peace’. Just the land. That is Zionism from the beginnng.

Expel the indigenous Palestinians and steal their lands, homes, and resources.

Zionists know this too, they just divert and distract by playing up the spectre of Palestinian terrorism – as if that even makes sense then to further entrech Israelis among an enemy civilian population.

There is nothing complex or mysterious about Jewish nationalism and Zionism. Its as racist and colonialist as other nationalisms. The difference is that it exists in this era and with the help of the Jewish/Israel Lobby.

Alas only the Americans dont know this..they have been deluded with the process forever. If only we can start the process again then it can be solved quickly says Shimon Settlements Peres

‘Memo to the world: Israel is never leaving the West Bank’

Sometimes I get paranoid and think that one day Netanyahu and Livni are going to just say, ‘OK Great – PRESTO – you’ve got your Palestinian state, Abbas!. Sign here’ – but it will be the bantustans Abbas was willing to accept with Livni, with the ‘biggest Jerusalem possible’, and with ‘no right of return’

It would really be the consummate Israeli best deal ever – achieved by years of arrests or assassinations of any real Palestinians leaders, ethnic cleansing, psychological battering, and essentially Israeli-picked agents like Abbas or Fayyad.

But then the paranoia passes and I just say naaahhhh – they want it ALL

That Israel could have had a deal that ripped Palestine off blind and STILL passed it up. Talk about missed opportunities – they had that in the palm of their hand
