The festival took place in the Mosaic District, a new urban district in Fairfax, Virginia, a hop, skip ‘n jump from Washington D.C.

We hope you enjoy this storified version of their fantastic action.

There are hours of remaining video. Rumor has it the best is yet to come.

The Zionists are finally getting whats long due to them.

Let them hiss and scream abuse and use foul language. It is they who will convince people who the real problem makers are.

I look forward to the day when the Nakba can be remembered and Zionists can do nothing but stand by and wonder where it all went wrong for them.

Of course they will blame Jew hatred and anti semitism and pogroms and blood libels and terrorism and A-rabs and A-rab lovers and etc etc etc.

They will be the victims and will call on every international Law and resolution to try to reverse their lot.Keep whining folks. You had your chance but you fӣ$%^&d up.

    You can,t unring a bell.

i want you and phil to research a fake presbyterian evangelical minister in virginia called david fischler who was born and raised a jew and who suddenly became a christian after graduating rutgers and writes about anti-semitism.
      i fully question this guy.
      could you check him out.

Arrogant, self consumed, violent woman “it is our festival, it is our festival, it is our festival” Feeds into the view that those on the Israeli side are violent, arrogant and want to shut down the debate..too late. Sure looks and sounds like she slapped the camera person. Trying to take the camera, uses violence she has learned well from the illegal settlers and IDF…and gets away with it. She should have been arrested.

Where did that cop go that the same racist woman had been harassing?

  4. Egbert on May 19, 2014, 3:04 pm

Random guy: “This is America” FTW!

    • just on May 19, 2014, 3:39 pm

And was teaching his tots the truth without screaming and gesticulating wildly and hitting someone’s camera……….

      • Kathleen on May 20, 2014, 5:30 am

That passerby was powerful. “this is America” The Jewish couple sure did not like what he was saying. The crazy woman’s husband “help the Jewish people” as if the U.S. has not all ready paid enough welfare to Israel. As if the U.S. has not all ready undermined our own national security to protect Israel from consequences for their persistent decades long crimes against Palestinians etc

i’m going to repost this video because i like it so much ;) and i can’t WAIT for the rest of the videos to come out.

It’s amazing– he’s a racist and an idiot in deliberate denial……..the student is so factual and calm.

I can’t wait for more. I think this is huge.

      • Denis on May 19, 2014, 9:36 pm

Somehow I don’t see the “huge.” At first glance it seems rather banal to me: just another condescending, dick-Israel firster. I don’t recognize him as being a politician or entertainer or anyone whose opinion matters to anyone. This is about as dog-bites-man as it gets.

But note at 00:25 how he asks: “And we haven’t given anything back?” That 1st person plural is lethal. He is certainly not referring to “we Americans.” I don’t think he’s referring to “we Jews.” The context is pretty clear that he means “we Israelis” because he’s talking about the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.

Maybe it being so banal is what makes it so huge — America is full of people who think of themselves as “we Israelis,” probably before they think of themselves as “we Americans.”

I also had to hit “pause” at the question about who had Israel won its independence from. The guy with the grey kippa had to pause, too.

I don’t know that I’ve ever thought about it. He said from Britain. WTF?? . . . that was the US, not Israel. When was Israel ever a British colony? When did they ever have a tea party that could later be used as a label for Rovian right wing-nuts?

When you think that question through seriously, it makes you realize what a misnomer “Israel Independence Day” is. Calling the Israel Declaration of Independence a declaration of independence was just aping the Americans to suck up to them. Hasbara from day one. It is a declaration of sovereignty. Sovereignty is not the same as independence.

        Here’s the English text:

Seems like it’s the Palestinians who need a declaration of independence. Maybe with the new government they’ll stop fighting with each other long enough to write one.

I think it’s worse than that Denis – when he says “we,” “we” is Israelis AND Jews – the two are totally conflated within his mind.

      • Kathleen on May 20, 2014, 5:06 am

Great points. That man was so angry. The facts were really getting to him.

      • Woody Tanaka on May 20, 2014, 9:45 am

The notion of Israeli “Independence” is purest propaganda. One set of European thieves (the British) left and another set of European thieves and their descendants (the Zionists) stole control, and neither had any legitimacy because they were there in defiance of the desires of the people whose land it was and who, alone, could confer legitimacy — the Palestinians.

    • amigo on May 19, 2014, 3:45 pm

Love it Annie.Love that zio apologist getting tongue tied when asked a difficult question.
Clearly an ill informed and clueless hasbarist hoping to only have to deal with average joe soap American.

      • Kay24 on May 19, 2014, 5:43 pm

I don’t know if that man in the video is representative of all apologists, but he seems totally uninformed and living in a bubble. You have got to wonder where they get their information from, and if they are brainwashed into believing an occupation does not exist, and Israel has been condemned for the murders, land thefts, and crimes against unarmed occupied people. It is obvious, he is totally disconnected with reality, and seems to be just spewing what he has been told, without any fact checking.

    • Ecru on May 20, 2014, 12:15 am

And I just bet that bigoted condescending [email protected]#k describes himself as a “liberal.”

    • Citizen on May 20, 2014, 8:27 am

“They need to get some good Palestinian leaders. they don’t know how to organize…” Let’s see, now that the two Palestinian factions have reached a unity agreement, this guy should be happy, right? Naw:″/

  7. German Lefty on May 19, 2014, 4:43 pm

Wow! Incredible how aggressive these Zionists are. I would not have dared to go there. These people just creep me out

This little girl ran from the festival over to us and said she doesn’t want her parents to see but she wants to read our pamphlet.
Reading this gives me a bit of hope. Also, it reminds me of what German-Jewish anti-Zionist Evelyn Hecht-Galinski once said in an interview. Her Zionist mother severed all contact with her because of their disagreement on Zionism. This shows what kind of people Zionists are. Israel is more important to them than their own children.
By the way, do you have more details on the “little girl”? How old is she? And how did she react when she read the pamphlet?

    • annie on May 19, 2014, 5:10 pm

you know GL, that particular tweet, i loved it. and i asked some questions about it, we discussed it. she just said she ran over and said she wanted their flyers but she couldn’t let her mom know, and that it was very “powerful”. i can imagine. i didn’t ask her age. they passed out over 250 of the open letters to, that’s a lot.

a lot of these little kids they have no idea, and many of the high school kids too. remember that kickstarter we posted a few months ago, the college kids who said they wanted to raise funds to make a video to inform, because when they got to college they didn’t know about any of this. it’s strange after so long, that anyone believes they can hide the truth. those days are over.

      • a blah chick on May 19, 2014, 5:46 pm

They feed the little children the fairy tale (eg. “Exodus” “Cast a Giant Shadow”) because they do not want them questioning the ideas and actions that founded their state. I recall one government official out there saying that he wanted their children to grow up loving their country.

Apparently you can only love Israel by believing in lies.

      • German Lefty on May 19, 2014, 5:55 pm

remember that kickstarter we posted a few months ago, the college kids who said they wanted to raise funds to make a video to inform, because when they got to college they didn’t know about any of this.

        Do you mean this article?
Yes, I remember it. But it’s still a Zionist documentary. They think that the problem is the occupation, not Zionism itself.

Their complete ignorance before they got to college is really hard to believe. I mean, didn’t these people have Internet? As Jews, they should inform themselves of what Israel does in their name.

      • Kathleen on May 20, 2014, 5:08 am

        “those days are over” Indeed

Wedge issue between Obamaites supporting Iran nuke talks versus Obamaites pushing the bill to enhance US-Israel security enmeshment? AIPAC befuddled?

“Pro-Israel lady: “It’s our festival. And she’s taking pictures of me” Cop: “They have freedom of speech””

Ha! And the Zionist show that once again they do not believe in freedom of speech.

  10. Zach S on May 20, 2014, 10:01 am

I wonder how Rania and her friends would react if Zionists “crashed” a Nakba Day festival, harassing the attendees and spreading anti-Palestinian propaganda?

    • pjdude on May 20, 2014, 9:11 pm

Propaganda? Oh you mean facts. And Palestinians wouldn’t mind Israelis stating facts cause the facts support the palestinians

    • Woody Tanaka on May 21, 2014, 9:57 am

I would imagine that Nakba victims and their families being heckled by Zionists and Nakba deniers would take it about the same as a Holocaust victim being heckled by neo-Nazis and holocaust deniers. People who’ve suffered such crimes against humanity who are faced with deniers and liars probably all react the same.

Likewise I guess, for example, the people celebrating Israel here probably react to the Palestinian protesters here reminding them of Israel’s crimes the same way a neo-Confederate Klansman would react to African American protesters reminding them of the CSA’s crimes against humanity.

  11. Palikari on May 20, 2014, 4:32 pm

What do you expect? A hug? You’re a bunch of provokers. It’s normal you got kicked out.

    • Woody Tanaka on May 20, 2014, 5:34 pm

I don’t think they expected any different. When you expose the truth to Zionists, you are going to get a crazed reaction, because you people are incapable of handling the truth. What was awsome, though, was the account of the young people, going out to get the pamphlets so that they can learn the truth.

  12. Palikari on May 20, 2014, 4:43 pm

In Spain there are “Week(s) of Israel” in every city. And do you guys know what is the best? Not a single demonstration against!

  13. Citizen on May 21, 2014, 7:36 am

Oh, looks like Iceland has a problem with Israel’s treatment of Palestinians:

    • Zach S on May 21, 2014, 10:37 am

      Veteran’s Today, huh?

      • Woody Tanaka on May 21, 2014, 11:09 am

        “Veteran’s Today, huh?”

Yeah, they’re nutty. Not Caroline Glick nutty of course, but still…
