Early on the morning of January 22nd some 150 Palestinian prisoners at Israel’s Ofer Military Prison in Ramallah were injured by a raid carried out by the Metzada unit, a subset of the Israeli military. Of the approximately 150 prisoners reportedly injured, 40 of them suffered head injuries and an additional six were treated for broken bones during a raid which saw the use of dogs, tear gas, rubber coated steel bullets, and sound bombs against the prisoners.

Many rabbis are openly supporting the Jewish youths who are suspected of throwing the stones that killed 48-year-old Palestinian mother Aisha al-Rabi. Will their stones be treated like Palestinian stones? “A stone thrower is a terrorist,” Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked said in 2015, speaking of Palestinians.

Over a dozen Palestinian activists, along with Israeli and international supporters, blockaded the entrance to Israel’s new ‘Apartheid Road’ in the central occupied West Bank district of Jerusalem on Wednesday morning. The group of activists closed the gates to the newly opened road and formed a human chain, raising banners in Arabic, English, and Hebrew saying “No to Apartheid” and “No to Annexation.”
