During an arrest raid in Nablus city, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian man in the head, killing him, and reportedly injured two others after running them over with a military jeep. Three days prior, the army shot and killed another Palestinian man in Beita.

Rep. Jim McGovern says he has seen “no evidence” to support Israel’s designation of 6 Palestinian human rights groups as “terrorist,” but he muted his criticism of the measure, noting that pro-Israel forces came down on him last month for his “urgent” letter on the subject. McGovern also says that leftwing criticism of J Street trip to Israel, bringing Reps to meet Prime Minister Bennett, was “jarring” and polarizing.

Israel advocates are pushing a new front. They say that progressive are antisemitic when they characterize Jews as privileged, and don’t acknowledge history and “the unique collective Jewish vulnerability.” So the anti-Zionist understanding that Israel is a powerful settler-colonial state is antisemitic because that leaves out the origins of Zionism in Jewish persecution in Europe, according to Jonathan Greenblatt of ADL and the Reut Group of Tel Aviv.
