The Trump administration’s decision to halt all visitor visas for Palestinians from Gaza, which came after pressure from right-wing activists, will be a death sentence for children who require life-saving medical treatment.

As healthcare workers who have recently participated in medical missions to Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, we are greatly alarmed by Israel’s decision to bar at least eight medical organizations to Gaza. The medical community must speak out.

After working with Palestinian medical colleagues who face the horrors and brutality of the Israeli regime on a daily basis, I could not vote for those who have supported, aided, and abetted the ongoing crimes against humanity and genocide.
