Israel officially revoked the permanent residency of Palestinian lawyer Salah Hamouri from his hometown of Jerusalem on Monday, on the basis of “breach of allegiance” to the state, paving the way for Hamouri’s forced deportation from his homeland.

Israel has stopped arguing for years the actual content of human rights reports or allegations directed at its conduct. Instead, Israel’s strategy is to simply attack human rights organizations themselves.

Samer al-Arbeed was arrested by Israel’s special security forces on Wednesday, September 25. By Friday the 27, he was unconscious in the hospital with kidney failure, broken ribs, and marks all over his body.
