In Gaza, an entire generation of children born into the genocide has no memory of how life was like before, and doesn’t know about the world outside Gaza’s walls.

The world professes reverence for childhood, but hollow platitudes about universal children’s rights aren’t meant for the colonized.

Most children in Gaza are coping with depression, grief, and fear as a result of living through three wars over the last ten years. Reporter Sarah Algherbawi spoke with children about what they remember from the last war, their physical symptoms from trauma and their hopes for the future.
