The Jewish Chronicle covered the latest, international demonstrations outside Lev Leviev's diamond boutiques in New York and London.
London demonstrators included members of Architects and Planners for Justice in Palestine, Stop the Wall, and Jews for Justice for Palestinians...
A statement from Mr Leviev and the Lev Leviev Group of Companies said the protests were “politically motivated...."
Good point. We're getting to him. When will the New York Times cover this dramatic story, replete with a scary Russian internationalist colonialist, a manipulable celebrity (Susan Sarandon as the ingenue collaborator) and young diamond-disdaining Jewish/Arab idealists...

Is this an appopriate means of dissent?
Isn't it his right who or what to contribute to?
I would hope that noone wrote your audience of prospective magazines to insist that they not buy articles under your by-line.
That would be thuggish.
Richard: If you mean by "appropriate" constitutional under the laws of the USA, yes. The First Amendment is not a matter of propriety. He has as much right as David Duke to spend his money where he wants, and, in the USA, anyone can say and/or gather in protest about it, or simply to get that information out to the public. What good is the free flow of ideas without a few facts? Of course you know that, so what's your point? And, exactly what would be thuggish?
Leviev received the blessings for success in business and personal support of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Schneerson for his philanthropic activities, which include "an army of some 10,000 Jewish functionaries from Ukraine to Azerbaijan, including 300 rabbis. Most of the 300 rabbis are Chabadniks, adherents of the Brooklyn-based Hasidic group Chabad — fundamentalist, missionizing, worldly and centered on the personality and teachings of the late Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher rebbe."

Here's some more on the good fellow:
Lev Leviev, Israel's wealthiest man, has left Tel Aviv for the UK to avoid paying taxes in Israel, according to a British newspaper.
And some more:
Lev Leviev is building Israeli settlements on Bil'in and Jayyous' land, and is also building in the settlements of Har Homa and Maale Adumim around Jerusalem, in violation of international law. Leviev is destroying the olive groves and farms that have sustained villages for centuries, and is profiting from human rights abuses.
“You’re glitz, you’re glam, you’re building on stolen land,” and “All your diamonds cannot hide, your support for Apartheid.”
